GOD DAMMIT!!!!

I remember them saying they wanted to end the show in the present. I wonder if they will start next season in 2013/14 or lead up to it throught each episode and do it in the finale..

i remember them saying that a while back and thinking how ill that would be. showing don in his 60's. maybe bert coopers age. coming into the new milennium trying to adjust to the technology age of advertising with the internet and all that.

i just dont see how they could do that now. it would still be cool but its only 1968 now and i dont want to seem them jump ahead 30 years. thats just too much of a jump.

I'm gonna miss this show when it finally leaves for good :to:

I feel like any tv drama will automatically get compared to mad men and ultimately lose. I just don't see how you can write better tv than this brehs. I really don't.

Just watched it.

:wow:

I thought this was a brilliant episode (the Don-Megan scene was very rushed though)

Is the duality of Don Draper over? He came clean about his past, he put his career in limbo, he's leaving his loveless marriage, he's self-aware of his alcoholism, and he was even honest and open with his children. Is this the death of "Don"? Is it dikk Whitman season? :lupe: I wonder what this means going forward

And Trudy is easily the sexiest woman on the show to me. Allison Brie:noah:

I guess the theme of an increasingly violent society was a lead up to Pete's mom being murked by Bob's goon. I thought a main character was going to die

You thought it was a bad episode? Strange, I thought it was a fitting finale. Weiner never goes OTT with the action in his endings, I always feel the Mad Men seasons end in a good place. I wonder where the show will pick up next season.

yeah, i didnt like how the whole season kinda felt like it was building towards a don - meagan confrontation/resolution type deal, and their last conversation tasted like a flat grape soda. looking back, everything else was either good or i could live with it, but this was too big to leave so unfullfilled

good point. its like don is walking away from his former self. i have no idea how this works for another 10-12 episodes if this is really the deal (which i find hard to believe, but how does he bounce back? b/c he's don draper, i presume. whitman is dead).

Megan loves Don enough to know she cant save him. He has to be truthful with himself and his kids. It seemed like Duck was taking his place. Hes either getting a role reduction or a buy out.

Anyone notice how Don called Betty by her nickname he used to call her when they were married while calming her down while Meghan gave that :to: look in the bed?
