pretty sure Pete cant drive at all. Most people know that at the firm I think with it being NY. Remember when Pete was at dinner with Ted and Peggy and he mentioned something about never driving or hailing a taxi? And Peg called him a true new yorker.

Plus he always used to ride the train to work.

i remember him going to driving school and i'm sure i've seen him behind the wheel before though.

He was driving a lot when he was fukkin with Alexis Blidel's character.

He would drive to the train station to take the train into the city and vice versa.

Don done finally hit rock bottom :sadbron:

And Duck finally got his revenge.

Need to catch the repeat at 12, a lot got past me, and the season finales on 'Mad Men' are always so low key, never over done.

A few hilarious moments, Pete 'I don't KNOW BOB' in the elevator killed me...and the 'No expenses spared..' scene. i thought Don was going to sell that whorehouse/hersheys story, I'm too used to his pitches always finding the right mark, guess he missed on this one.

I was waiting for Bobby to say ":ohhh: so we are Negros"

:russ:

The Hershey pitch being the anti Kodak pitch was strong writing.

:beli: @ this soft landing for Don Drizzy though. I thought they were really gonna tear him down before they let him get up ... but having a minor career stallout ain't much.

I wouldn't call it a soft landing or minor career stallout. A couple days after ending up in jail and a day after his wife left, he essentially got fired, his replacement just got off the elevator and gave him a :umad:

He finds out his daughter is getting drunk at 12 years old and that fukks with him, we see him trying to quit cold turkey. He sees Ted coming close to following in his footsteps and he sacrifices a lot to save him.

I think Draper is almost dead and dikk Whitman is coming back.

on first impression, it felt slight as well....but, Don has been fukking up for at least a season now, if not 1.5, so it's kinda long time coming, he hasn't been doing much around there for a minute.

After he married Megan he was ditching work to smash, this year he fired Jaguar, merged the company with a rival, clashed with the other head of creative, would go missing at random times and basically fukked up a chance at Hershey because he decided to talk about growing up in a whorehouse :heh:

I think Draper is almost dead and dikk Whitman is coming back.

But for all the scumbag stuff he did all season? It's like he got a free pass

Megan - He ain't really give 2 shyts about her, so if she calls it off, he'd probably welcome it. He ain't even seem to want that stress BJ she be offering.

Work - He hasn't really been working at all and the place has changed so much, he probably doesn't even want to be there.

Sally - The Sally shyt must have hurt, but it seems like they're already reconciling when Don uses his past as a "look how shytty I had it compared to ya'll".

A true cathartic tear down woulda had Ted pass Don on merit (make him lose heads up), letting Peggy be successful w/o Don & Don witnessing this/still being there (show his protege doesn't need him anymore), and losing his wife by the doctor's wife affair bubbling up (getting caught with his pants down).

But in reality, they let him skate on errythang and dikk Whitman gets a clean slate during his offtime/soft-firing.

Episode was a pure trolling fest

Sally hitting don with that ether
wouldnt want to do anything immoral, why dont you tell me what i saw :troll:

Don namedrops Rev.MLK among names to religous guy in bar
religous guy-there wasnt a true believer in the bunch :troll:
*gets punched*

Draper just deebo'd that dudes dream job with no fukks given then just handed it to ted :troll:

Bob just trolled pete with the it says reverse on it :troll:

When will pete just fall back on things? He lways pushes until he gets a L.
I thought he finally got it after the bob benson incident.

Sally just going full trouble maker after seeing don hitting the neighbor. Had to scare her straight by taking her to the hood.

Peggy got dolled up and was still at best a 7

this dude don trolled megan hard made her quit her job for nothing :troll:

these nikkas finally gave draper an intervention then brought in his enemy and told him that ted
wont have a problem dealing with peggy. The same peggy he asked Don to give him LA to get away from :troll:

Bobby was looking at that black kid like :lupe: that black kid was looking at them like :birdman:

The ending was pretty plain but all mad men endings are. Gonna be interesting to see where they start the next season at. Don on leave or Don coming back from leave.

Seemed like he wanted to make it work. The creator said that dream in the LA episode where Megan said she lived there, had quit her job and was pregnant was what Don wished would happen. Moving to LA would be a restart for his personal and professional life. They fell in love in LA.

One of the issues this season was whether Ted and Don were similar. Towards the end it looked like they were kind of the same, until Ted asked to go to LA to save his family. That, combined with the look he had during the Hershey meeting showed he was a better person than Don, Don saw that, that's why he let Ted go. Ted was the better man, fukked up and did what he felt would save his family, it might not work, but he tried.

Peggy's now in Don's role. We already know she can be successful without Don, Don realizes this, he didn't really fight her leaving because he know she needed to grow. Remember last year after she took the job they ran into each other, she thanked him and he said something to the effect of, "You help people, and they move on, that's what happens." She was successful for about 2 years at the other company before the merger.

Dude from another agency that was interviewing for Don's job. Why Don said they were there early, kinda fukked up for you to get fired and see someone coming in to interview for your job.

Peggy's taking over Don's role, Ted was gonna oversee her from LA.

have we seen that character in prior episodes/seasons? (dude duck was with) he looked mad familiar.

and how does this shyt work money wise? don is still a majority owner in the company. so during this leave of absence hes still gettin paid right? shyt i wouldnt mind taking a few months off and collecting checks.

wow, did they just throw Draper in the bushes. Can't wait to see the direction of his character in the next season. Seems like he is beginning to wear down and everything is finally taking a toll on him.

Draper is so good at his Job, because he's a good actor. The moment that dude wakes up, it's all a lie in his head. Every fukking corner, elevator ride, hides fear and that oh shyt, maybe this is the moment I get busted. So his life a mastery of being the amazing chameleon he is. This dude thinks on his toes quick... When the real Draper dies, the wheels in his head started scheming instantly. Who the fukk thinks that way in such a hectic moment? But we see where it all comes from. His child hood was no where near normal. All types of weird as hangups, and insecurities is haunting this guy. So being a chameleon is almost a defense mechanism, cause he never wants to be that kid again.

That weight of Truth only gets heavier the deeper you go with it...It's rippin his life apart, and dude is now unraveling at work. He can't possibly be fired though? Can he?
