yup just finished season 3 and i am going to miss this show. God damn the british are cruel as fukk....how do you give us only 4 eps...we want more, we want more.
R.I.P to my nikka Ripley
I went at the Alice reveal. She came through and crushed the buildings.
I agree. Dope ass show and the music is
The song that closed out episode 4th was incredible. I really hate how short the seasons are too...i need more.

DS Ripley was a fence riding ass nikka.even though he didnt snitch he still did some shady shyt so fukk him
The whole investigation against Luther just seemed forced and unbelievable to me.then they arrest him for murder of a police officer with zero evidence if you gonna go after a cop like that I would think you would save the arrest until you had hard evidence or atleast some type of evidence but they didnt have shyt on Luther. Then the 2 officers get assaulted and Luther escaped but none of that shyt got mentioned again
The writing was a little Dexter like this season but it was still hella entertaining

I agree with all this.....except the Ripley derision. He rode wit Luther til the end, his brief wavering was completely understandable.....it's unrealistic of Luther to expect someone to be ride or die while keeping him in the dark.
The writing of that Gray storyline was weak as fukk tho. The individual crime stories were still dope
Erin Gray didn't even have any real reason to hate Luther so much. Her snitching backfired on her, but she brought all that shyt on herself. It's not like Luther did anything to her personally, but you'd think she was some bitter ex or something.
OK, I finished the 3rd series last night. It was good, but not as good as I'd hoped.
Thoughts
1. Even though there was a lot of stuff I didn't like, it's still a show starring Idris Elba as John Luther. That part alone makes the show good.
2. Both killers were wack. A far cry from Ian Reed in Season 1 or the twins from Season 2. They tried to make the first dude creepy by having him hide under beds and wrap women up like mummies, but the way he went out was pure epic fail. The vigilante killer didn't get interesting until the end of the 3rd episode, but then every action he takes from that point on makes no sense given his character.
Can anybody explain why he doesn't kill Erin Gray? And if she doesn't die, why doesn't Erin chase after him?
BTW, the most interesting killer was Salladhor from GoT who put his hand in that blender.
3. The subplot with George and Erin tailing Luther was weak throughout. They were never a second threat, especially after the end of the 2nd episode. They're only a nuisance from that point on. George was a terrible cop that also doubled as an alcoholic, and Erin's so blasé I can't think of a single interesting thing she's done since joining the show.
4. I don't think there's a single person who doesn't think one of the two best characters is Alice Morgan. She's sexy, hilarious, and every scene she's had with Luther is great. It was a mistake only putting her in one episode, and I hope she's gonna be in the movie heavy. If we had more Alice we probably wouldn't have had so many needless serial killer scenes or shady IA subplot scenes.
Overall, the season was about a 7/10. I'd rate the first season a 9.5 and the second season a 8 or 8.5.
Season 3 was definitely the weakest and could have been better, but still good.
Season 1 and 2 was classic status. Those two episodes with the psycho twin brothers on the rampage was scarier than any horror movie because I've worked and walk right on those same streets every week and that part where the first twin was going around killing and maiming those people in the offices was straight up terrifying....you could realistically see that shyt happening.
Is there really going to be a Luther movie though, because it just seems like rumour/speculation and I haven't seen anything on IMDB about it.

There's always one fukker that will start bytching about it. Spoiler bars always make shyt interesting. Have somebody like wondering if they should click.
