just like in real life some things do not get resolved.
Alice swag crazy as usual. I guess getting shot with a shottie means nothing to Luther That niguh though was like the UK version of the Terminator.
true but everything story wise was resolved that only things left unresolved were the emotional issues it seems. What story points you felt were left hanging?Well yeah, but that's real life. There is no "seasons". There is no "story arc".
When it happens on a TV show, especially one with as many loose ends as they left here, it seems kinda lazy. Because unlike real life they do have the power to resolve things. This was like "well, it's ep 4, let's just end it". It works fine with minor plot points, like "Pine Barrens" from "The Sopranos"....but not an entire series.

The emotional shyt mostly. BBC, Idris Elba, etc. spent all this time talking about "will Luther find redemption, happiness, etc.?" leading up to the season, then it ends exactly the same as the other two seasons. If they hadn't sold this as the last season, and then on top of that spent time saying shyt like that, I'd have less of a problem. Because if you read any of that prior to this, then watched the finale....you have no idea what's going through Luther's head. Or if he'll ever be happy, or a "good" person. He's just walking down the street with Alice, like it's episode 2 or some shyt.
Alice is another hanging plot point. I hate to be blunt, but they should've fukked. I'm not saying they have to fukk, but it makes no narrative sense not to. This show only has a handful of eps, so they don't run the risk of spoiling the anticipation, like "Moonlighting", or "The X-Files".
The only other thing I have a minor problem with is that Stark character. Dude came out of left field hating Luther for basically no reason. I was expecting him to have some kind of ulterior motive, then he died. He was just kind of "generic antagonist", which this show has never done before.
Don't get me wrong I still loved the season but if they're gonna do 4 eps leading into what is potentially the series finale, they needed to pace it a little better.
Obviously if there's a movie and/or an Alice spin-off, disregard everything I said.
Fred.
Yeah, dude just seemed to be a burnt out former ex cop that the black cop got because she wanted to get Luther so bad and then she realized she couldn't control him.The only other thing I have a minor problem with is that Stark character. Somebody already mentioned it but he got shot with the pistol in that scene.Alice swag crazy as usual. I guess getting shot with a shottie means nothing to Luther That niguh though was like the UK version of the Terminator.

That scene kind of had me watching it like... though
So dude pulls out 2 guns on them, they don't have any kind of weapon on them, and they don't get blasted because Alice is recording him? He already killed 1 cop so at that point to me, he's already turned full evil. If it were me and they came in there talking shyt to me without a gun, I would have shot both of them.
Then I would have got the camcorder and rerecorded what I wanted to put on the news for the nation to see. I don't remember there being a sloppy scene like that in the previous seasons. And I think that's the first scenario that I could actually say for lack of better words, was "stupid" in all of the episodes from this series.
If he was live streaming then why would he care that Alice took the memory stick? I thought he was recording it and was going to then send it to the news outlets. That's why he went after Alice because he wanted the footage back before it got out there. If he was live streaming it then everybody would have seen that he was pointing that shotty at Luther.Maybe I misunderstood, but I'm pretty sure he was live streaming when Alice grabbed the camera. That's why Luther said "oh, you're gonna show people who you really are now?". If you listen to the little radio/TV chatter between scenes the public started to turn on him after he murked Ripley. Killing Luther and/or Alice live on the internet would've ruined any chance of public sympathy.
