Eh....it was kinda explained in the scene. I'm not saying it 100% makes sense but he wouldn't kill them then record over it because he wanted the truth caught on camera. Doing that would go against his whole reasoning.

I'm not a psych major so I'm not sure how well that stands up to scrutiny, but it makes a bit more sense to me now.

I mean, I'm not going to nitpick too much about that scene, it was just odd to me how that went down. I guess that kind of makes sense, but still... Marwood was getting his no fukks given steez on by the time the last episode was going on. He already "snapped" when he was going vigilante, but prior to that scene that we're talking about, he killed Ripley in cold blood, then he shot up Luther's crib and I'm guessing that if he found Mary in his shed he would have bodied/kidnapped her as well? Then AFTER that scene he blasted George's ass clean off that staircase like it was nothing....

His character was kind of all over the place IMO. Then he let Erin live? I can't call it brehs.

They could've explained it better but basically he felt the spotlight was on him, he had "the floor" so to speak, as long as the camera was on. It wouldn't even matter if no one was watching. That's why Luther said "nah, he won't....not with the camera on". That's why I thought he was livestreaming. But Luther just meant, dude wouldn't betray the camera by wilding out.

marwood wasnt really a master criminal...he even told luther exactly what he was up to...he was a murderous dude with a grudge stringing together a bunch of crimes and telling himself he is a hero...the marwood character is basically george zimmerman...

The emotional shyt mostly. BBC, Idris Elba, etc. spent all this time talking about "will Luther find redemption, happiness, etc.?" leading up to the season, then it ends exactly the same as the other two seasons. If they hadn't sold this as the last season, and then on top of that spent time saying shyt like that, I'd have less of a problem. Because if you read any of that prior to this, then watched the finale....you have no idea what's going through Luther's head. Or if he'll ever be happy, or a "good" person. He's just walking down the street with Alice, like it's episode 2 or some shyt.

Alice is another hanging plot point. I hate to be blunt, but they should've fukked. I'm not saying they have to fukk, but it makes no narrative sense not to. This show only has a handful of eps, so they don't run the risk of spoiling the anticipation, like "Moonlighting", or "The X-Files".

The only other thing I have a minor problem with is that Stark character. Dude came out of left field hating Luther for basically no reason. I was expecting him to have some kind of ulterior motive, then he died. He was just kind of "generic antagonist", which this show has never done before.

Don't get me wrong I still loved the season but if they're gonna do 4 eps leading into what is potentially the series finale, they needed to pace it a little better.

Obviously if there's a movie and/or an Alice spin-off, disregard everything I said.

Fred.
Maybe it's just me but I took the ending to be Luther finally choosing a life with Alice (which as been a major decision he has been faced with since she entered his life) and that is a look into Luther's psyche because choosing Alice is basically Luther giving up his previous life and embarking on a new one. And doing it on the same bridge where Luther put the chokes on Alice in season 1 was a nice touch.

My only complaint is that bug-faced crab Erin didn't die.

yup just finished season 3 and i am going to miss this show. God damn the british are cruel as fukk....how do you give us only 4 eps...we want more, we want more.

R.I.P to my nikka Ripley

I went :krs: at the Alice reveal. She came through and crushed the buildings.

Show is so dope, and their musical choices are outstanding.

I really love and hate that UK shows are so short, they put out such crack yet only 4 episodes, why do they do this to us?

I agree. Dope ass show and the music is :ohlawd:

The song that closed out episode 4th was incredible. I really hate how short the seasons are too...i need more.
