Yo i gotta be honest though I'm even feelin Battle Scars and Heart Donor.

Mostly because they have much more meaning than usual songs with that kind of sound.

The album flows really well throughout. Whoever executive produced this went hard a.f.

Man, I see some craziness going on in here. Lemme have my say real quick. First of all, y'all (I see you Biz ) bugging about Battle Scars. I like that shyt. It's not the greatest, but shyt is dope to me :yeshrug:

Now, as far as all the hate some of y'all seem to have for the album, I have a question: Why did you bother listening to it in the first place? I mean, some of y'all names are the same ones that always pop up shytting on Lupe, and there's no way in the world you went into this with an open mind. If you don't' like Lupe, that's cool...avoid the album/thread, and keep it moving. You don't see my name popping up in Drake, or Big Sean, or whoever else threads shytting on 'em. You know why? Because I don't like them dudes, so I 1. don't listen to their music (literally), and 2. don't feel the need to constantly shyt on 'em to prove how much I don't like 'em.

Of course, on the other side of that, Lupe has his super stans, and you're gonna get the "OMG, LUPE IS THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME, THIS IS THE GREATEST ALBUM EVERRRRRRRR" comments from them. But I would hope that some of y'all are smart enough to realize that they don't make up the majority. Thats why the hardest thing to do with albums like this on this site is to cut off the fat (haters and super stans), and get to the meat of the issue (that being the actual general consensus on the quality of the album).

Personally, I like the album. Alot. I understand everyone has their own opinion (whether pre-conceived or not), but to say, as a fan of Hip-Hop, that the album is full of huff, and boring is pretty ridiculous IMO. You look at an album like Cruel Summer (well, bad example, as I personally haven't been able to get through it), but let's just say that there's not very many albums that contain the substance (and VERY few that contain the lyricism) that FLII does. At the same time, to say that this album puts Lupe on the Mt. Rushmore of Rap is going too far as well. Again, find the middle ground. I still think LiG is AOTY, but damn Lupe brought it with this release, that's for sure.

But what do I know...I'm just a lone voice that tries to bring some sensibility to this place, which, I'm well aware, is an excercise in futility.

That's because lames like Charmander are simpleton ass, c00n-loving losers who never had a taste for good hip hop with substance to begin with. Can't expect a goldfish to start climbing a tree just because some bangin ass fruit suddenly grew on it. The guy genuinely believes Lil Wayne is the best rapper alive and you expect him and idiots like him to appreciate this album? :russ:

And lames like Gil Scott Heroin or whatever the fukk his name is are probably in their late 30s and bitter as fukk young Lu got serious and dropped a classic while they're still reciting Liquid Swords lyrics and telling their nephews about how Rakim will never be touched.

This album ain't for Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Chief Keef and nikkas stuck in the 90's crowds for obvious reasons.
I like Wayne, Ross, 90's music and Lupe....

You doing too much in here man

:stopitslime:

If nikkas dont like it they dont like it....You soundin like them Jay-Z and Kanye fans that just can't accept the fact the people dont think they're the greatest..

Honestly a lot of these dudes are probably taking shots just to see you react...

I need an honest opinion, is this anything like Lasers? are the beats all techno?

tracklist lookin :what:

I hated Lasers and I love this album..The only similarities are on two of the hooks.. And he's spitting so hard that I don't even mind it...Besides that it's more like The Cool...

No techno beats...

First off, shouts and salutes to the homie Big Businees, AKA You Must Spread More Rep Around Before Repping Him Again

This is much better than that weed plate Lasers, but you nikkas are overrating the fukk out of this album. I enjoyed it, but this in no way, shape, or form is fukking with The Cool. He was truly monstrous on there.

He's lyrically stronger on this album than The Cool. Tell your nostalgia to have a seat.

Download the album man. If you don't like...delete.

I like Wayne, Ross, 90's music and Lupe....

When I say it's not for Wayne/Ross fans, I mean the stereotypical fan who only listens to artists like them and calls conscious, righteous hip hop "corny", not openminded fans of music such as yourself. You know exactly the type of fans I'm talking about. My bad if my generality offended you, but you're bugging if you think your everyday hardcore Lil Wayne stan is likely to enjoy this type of music.

"MMG 4eva Rick Ross makez the best music right now", "Weezy the GOAT....D4 was amazin'", "this nikka Lupe is so corny im glad Chief Keef checked him on Twitter cuz Chief Keef a real nikka" type of nikkas = aren't going to fukk with F&L II like that because they're fukking stupid.
