hahahahahahahaaaaa......I see some are still in denial are just have horrible taste in hip hop to begin with, but overall the album is loved.

Good shyt. I can understand deleting Battle Scars but I wouldn't be so hasty with the getting rid of the other 2 around it. Heart Donor will grow on a lot of people, and How Dare You is a lyrical love song masterpiece IMO(with bilal killing it on the hook).

Heart doner is great. Battle Scars musically is just too Lasery for me friend. How Dare you, really depends on my mood but musically its just not unique enough.

You're an idiot.

*check the back of the cd for credits credits* (ends)

Thats all i got. Was there a song after that?

"It's Hood Now" is the outro. The 12 second clip was made so listeners can be directed to where the credit information since the entire album itself is just black.

fuk wit, i digress from my previous post about givin yo opinion because blu said it best "opinions are like a$$holes, they full of sh!t, and everybodys got one if not they tryin to cop one", i am by no means a lupe stan, i enjoy his music and love when an artist makes me think about what he says and take it for more than just words on a page, but i would like to know this, to those of you who do not like this album, for whatever reason you have, post ya top dope hip hop album maybe its one of my favs to and common ground is still evident.

7mile to SE & Uptown!
I personally thought it was a GREAT album...and I was never a big fan of Lupe. I think he kinda dumbed down his approach a bit and found a great medium on where his tracks should be aimed. He still had a couple of Lasers type tracks on there for the fans of that album and he provided enough street oriented beats for the hood. Powerful album and to me it's a little better than Life is Good which would make it album of the year :myman:

cool opinion

I'm on my 5th listen and to me it's REALLY hard to rank the first 3.

I would say that OVERALL Food & Liquor II is the best. It has HANDS DOWN the strongest first half of any of his albums, the weakest middle part(Sunshine/Daydreaming/The Cool and Intruder Alert/Streets On Fire/Little Weapon > Heart Donor/How Dare You/Battle Scars) and has the best finish along with the first F&L. The Cool's finish would've been up there if it ended with "Fighters" and not "Go Baby".

Also, I feel F&L II reflects Lupe's evolution into a more personable and intimate(no homo) emcee. He doesn't let you in with the first 2 albums. Like Loose said...it's all third person, concepts, rappity rap songs. We got glimpses of it with The Cool on "Fighters", and Lasers was easily his most personal album but the song quality was mediocre.

F&L II in my opinion combines the best aspects of the first two albums, improves upon them in every way and adds in the personal/relateable aspects of Lasers to create a masterpiece.

F&L, The Cool and F&L II are all 5 mics for me but I would say F&L is the weakest 5 stars and F&L II right now is the strongest with The Cool somewhere in the middle.

F&L II>The Cool>F&L>>>>>>>>Lasers

Looking forward to seeing where Part 2, SKULLS and his independent albums rank.
