The whole point of Mural is painting pictures with words for 8 mins, literally a mural.

And once you listen to the album & start breaking down the concepts, plots, you'll realize why he places the songs in these spots.
I get all that but its not entertaining... He is rambling for 8 minutes and the flow doesn't change much :manny:

Song structure is very important. If you gonna try to keep someone captive on an 8 minute song it takes a lot more variation between vocals and music...

I actually think Lupe's album is musically easier to digest than Kendricks besides the lyrics being more dense the music is accessible.

Listening to Kendricks joint now. I find it hard to believe it won't be better than Lupe ok album.

I feel you. One rapper rapping over the same loop for 8 mins can be tedious for listeners.

For me, his performance kept me interested for the whole track. Even tho it's hyped the most Mural ain't even in my top 5-7 tracks on the album.

That don't even matter right now :mjpls:

The real question is do you think Lupe's song "Chopper" is some pop shyt that could feature Ariana Grande on the hook? :pachaha:

I'm up to These Walls on TPAB and this album sounds levels better than Lupe sh!t. Beautiful so far...jazzy, funky and conscious.

I dunno man, just not feeling K Dot's album like that. Aside from like 5 songs, shyt is just not my cup of tea at ALL. Disappointed, to say the least. Obviously voted for T&Y based on such.

I don't think anything on that album is dark at all. To me dark is something like Hell on Earth, Temples of Boom, Kill The Fetus, Liquid Swords, or some shyt, not T&Y. I don't think you're using right words to describe this album's production. It's pretty damn accessible and poppy. Hooks are trying to be catchy, almost forcing catchiness and ending up corny and bad. To me at least. I don't mind if you like it. Even on straight spittin cypher track like Chopper, it still remains poppy, I can imagine Rihanna singing some shyt on that. But then again I don't like production on any of Lupe's album so whatever.

Swear to God I feel like I've entered the fukking Twilight Zone on here ever since TPAB dropped. :snoop:

Shyt's "Invasion of the Coli Snatchers". :pachaha:
