This album has reignited my interest in Lupe :blessed: I'll be visiting his mixtape stuff, they've been sitting in my iTunes for ages.

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
:comeon:
You ducked the age question...can you at least admit you're a 90s baby?

And for everybody in love with the beats on this album...can you give me some examples of other albums that you think have amazing wall to wall production?
@Big Mel this doesn't apply to you. I know your list would be :banderas:
U sayin he's a 90s baby cause he sayin this is more finely produced than The Cool fam?...I think so too and I'm not a 90s baby..

Nope. Nothing to do with how this ranks with other Lupe albums.
Only applies to people who feel the production on this album is "classic".

A lot of my favorite albums dropped before I was born. :to:

I was raised around classic hip hop being played in the household so I ain't completely tainted.

OB4CL is my GOAT album :blessed:

Born in 1990. I'm currently making my top 50 favorite albums of all time list and the only ones I have on there so far released before I was born are Off The Wall, Bad, and Sign O' the Times. Most of the 70s and 80s stuff I grew up on were singles rather than albums.

Are you also unfamiliar with his albums? If so listen to the following projects - Fahrenheit 1/15 part 1, part 2, his first two albums, enemy of the state and food & liquor 2. If you don't mind EDM beats then friend of the people is a must listen. If you do though stay far away. He only raps over like 1 rap beat.

I thought he was about rap over that banjo. shyt woulda been unforgivable breh. Intriguing, but unforgivable.

No I have all his albums but never really touched his mixtape/non-album stuff.

Your face when you hear Failure, Da Champ is Here, Mean & Vicious,Twilight Zone, Switch, Lupe The Killer and Penz n the needlez >>>>>>>

These are IMO his two best non-album, non-mixtape songs

And this is the 3-track EP he dropped right before T&Y

My Name is My Name - Pusha T
Be - Common

Come to mind for me. And I'm a 80s baby
I love the production on Be.
MNIMN I recall having great production as well. I actually bought that album, liked it, but it never got as much burn from me as it should.

The production on both of those albums is much better than T&Y to me. Especially Be.
I'm a 1980 baby :flabbynsick:

Same here...I heard Fahrenheit 1/15 P.1 was a classic, but they sound so uninteresting compared to his albums. Failure and Twilight Zone was pretty nice tho

Be's Intro is one of the best beats I've ever heard in my life

To me, some of the best produced albums of all time would be:

The Infamous
Illmatic
Midnight Marauders
OBFCL
36 Chambers
The Chronic
Doggystyle
Hell On Earth
Living Proof

Albums from the 2000s don't hit me like these albums...Be included
And T&Y is too "modern" for my taste...
