I'll give you that but 3 or 4 songs outta 19 tracks is still a dope album breh.

The coolest is weak too. Drab, boring beat.

Put you on to game has a dull beat.

I can't remeber the names but it's a Gang of subpar beats. This new album has fire production. The cool doesn't.

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
Hip hop saved my life is okay. A little light but kinda pleasant. The next one not so much. But the bad stuff is REALLY bad and I see people claiming those are some of his best songs.

The worst song on tetsuo is better than the best song on cool. Excluding dots and lines which is a bit sappy but sits nicely in the sequence.
I mean I made up my mind that Tetsuo and Youth is Lupe's best album so it is what it is to me..I respect Ur opinion...

Lol @ nikkas dedicating an entire page to being flabbergasted by mel shytting on fl and tc. Those albums great but old news. It's Tetsuo Season now. Ain't gonna try and convince someone whose mind already made up to appreciate em. You would prefer the advance version of F&L tho @Big Mel.

Yeah. I only broke the cool out to revisit it because of how strong tetsuo is. thought maybe I had slept on it. Then I heard it and it was bad. It's still fresh in my mind because it ended like 3 hours ago.

am i the only one that loved

I liked both of those snitches song. First one is real smooth.

Anyways brehs it seems the safe thing people are saying is this "this is lupe's best album SINCE the cool" and "this is the best rap album SINCE good kid mAAd city".

I understand respecting those albums, and they're great, but this is better than both to me , and noticeably so :manny:

This is more finely produced, cohesive, catchy and deeper than the cool. He grew as an artist and somehow even grew lyrically :what:

Besides Lu obviously rapping circles around Kendrick, GKMC has backseat freestyle - a song I hate on some days and can barely somewhat tolerate listening to a minute or two of on others. Lyrically and conceptually(on an individual song basis at least) it's far behind TY. I also feel the interludes add a layer of depth to it that really aren't there in what kendrick himself is saying. Both are finely produced but I gravitate much more to the more musical and alternative approach of TY.

I love both those albums immensely. They are classics in their own right, so I won't be overly critical just to prop TY up, but yeah this is better. This shyt is flawless while those both have some slight blemishes.

This is more finely produced
:comeon:
You ducked the age question...can you at least admit you're a 90s baby?

And for everybody in love with the beats on this album...can you give me some examples of other albums that you think have amazing wall to wall production?
@Big Mel this doesn't apply to you. I know your list would be :banderas:

A lot of my favorite albums dropped before I was born. :to:

I was raised around classic hip hop being played in the household so I ain't completely tainted.

OB4CL is my GOAT album :blessed:
