I own F&L & The Cool on CD.

I liked Sunshine.


I really, really hate the beats on all those songs you mentioned.

i like beats like Gold Watch, Dumb It Down even Kick Push much more.

That's always been his issue. Weak beats and i didn't care enough about his lyrics to put effort into deciphering them.


That's all been fixed on T&Y.

I always felt like Sunshine was such an underrated track from Lupe...shyt is one my fav songs in his catalog...

Probably the only joint i truly had any urge to hear from him off that album. Some of the other stuff was good like american terrorist and the first song but i didn't ever need to hear them more than a few times. Sunshine got played multiple times in a row.

Daydreaming is one of the worst songs I've ever heard. The Cool was dope i recall. Pressure sounds like 2006. That's a bad thing.

just youtubed this song and it's alright. a little 2006-ish though. Popular rap music was awful at that time. Remember, losers like T.I. were top of the food chain back then. People pretended The Clipse were making classic albums back then. Bleak shyt.

i started watching Tetsuo last night I'm not sure if I got the right movie cause it's in black and white with live people. First 4 minutes a guy jams a metal bar into his leg. Does anyone know why Lupe chose to name his album after that movie?

I know it keeps being said that it's for the akira reference but tetsuo can also mean history/philosophy. So essentially you could call the album, "history philosophy and youth".

Murals is beyond piff smh. It's like Lu's version of em's rap god. Just nonstop greatness for 9 minutes. First time I heard that line that went something like '..watch the world through eyeholes in my oil paintings' I was like...damn. This man constantly drops gems or smooth lines while delivering a complex and flawless flow simataneously.
