Never in a million years did I think Myke C-Town off Dead End Hip Hop would be bigging up Lupe this heavy lmao. That boy hate himself some Lupe. He the @Big Mel of youtube hip hop reviews.
Breh listening to his review of T&Y all I could think about was how bad he shyt on FOTP and the other releases. Really surprising this album got this kind of reaction out of him.Never in a million years did I think Myke C-Town off Dead End Hip Hop would be bigging up Lupe this heavy lmao. Album is fire.
I put the Cool in the whip (SWIDT???) to see if i was just on some fukk Lupe shyt back then and it's significantly cornier than T&Y. The beats are bland, his flow is on that corny shyt cats were doing back then sounding like homos and shyt. I'm only up to 'Superstar' though. lotta album left. I recall liking the beat tp paris, tokyo & gold watch.
I'm glad he sounds tough now.
I do something like that sometimes, but some songs are so long, I still get to my destination before the song is over. 1 round of Choppers and from work to wherever I decide to eat at that day, I'm pulling in their parking lot by Lupe's verse beginning. For shorter listening sessions, I'm a just start playing specific seasons depending on how I'm feeling.
FOTP is such an underrated project. The myth that he hasn't good music and projects since The Cool is so inaccurate.
That was my favorite rap album ever till this came out. You got up to Paris Tokyo before that post? How could you not like The Coolest?
Streets on Fire, Dumb It Down, The Die, Paris Tokyo and Hip Hop Saved My Life all come after that.
Just typing those songs out reminded me of just how great that album was.
If you didn't have the at his bars on Gotta Eat then you're a stone cold hater.
The Coolest has awful, late 00's production. That is a really good example of the Lupe i despised song wise.
Just peeped streets on fire on itunes and there's a speedy track with a cac singing. trash.
The Die is awful sounding as well. like these don't sound like hip hop to me.
Gotta Eat sounds like an awful Neptunes track.
This album is half trash @Versa
I think you guys being younger and raised on trash made it more digestible.
You just shyt'd on 3 of my favorite Lupe jointsThe Coolest has awful, late 00's production. That is a really good example of the Lupe i despised song wise.

Lmao wow.
I think you'd probably like Food & Liquor - specifically the advanced version. It's less experimental in its sound and themes than f&l retail and The Cool.
YouTube ghetto story, game time, theme music to a drive by, and real recognize real.
You just shyt'd on 3 of my favorite Lupe joints
If you fukk with macho Lu you should dig into some of his early gangsta tracks.

Them shyts was hot fiyah to meThose beats are dope to you????? This is a fundamental disparity in musical tastes. And everyone knows my taste is impeccable. And i'm elderly so i know from good.
His Biggie impressions were top notchTrue. We been talking just about albums and shyt. Forgot pre-album Lupe perfected that violent drug dealer gangster rap before he even went conscious
