just read this and first thing I gotta say is fukk this dude for saying that pseudo intellectual nonsense about Canibus. How you gonna write a whole article defending the creative, intelligent, and maybe misunderstood black artist and say what he said about Bis. If you aint like his music thats one thing but youre a hatin ass dude if you dont respect his hustle.

The writer does make some interesting points here and there but I think hes reaching too hard comparing infinite jest and T&Y. And he said how nobody can try and understand the meaning of infinite jest when D.F.W. said himself that if you dont get the book then the book has failed you.

All the beats were too mid tempo on it. Strange Fruition was the GOAT Lupe album opener tho. It definitely has some standouts but very few are going into the "Lupe Fiasco classics" category. Lupe's delivery sounded :snooze: on a lot of joints. It just doesn't come together as a full body of work like F&L, TC, and T&Y. Lasers had a couple gems, but the majority of the album was too sweet.

Even Letting Go was a lil too poppy for my taste. :scusthov: Lupe's performance on Lasers was great for the most part tho

Nah, Theme Music for a Drive-By WAS Lupe's initial GOAT album opener, now Mural breezes by with that acclaim. shyt may be the GOAT album opener period.

i started watching Tetsuo last night :what: I'm not sure if I got the right movie cause it's in black and white with live people. First 4 minutes a guy jams a metal bar into his leg. Does anyone know why Lupe chose to name his album after that movie?

Breh not the movie Tetsuo, the character from Akira

  • Tetsuo Shima (島 鉄雄 Shima Tetsuo) – Kaneda's best friend since preschool and the second principal subject of the story's theme. Tetsuo is shown as a black sheep in the gang that he is part of and quietly suffers from a deeply rootedinferiority complex. Tetsuo admires Kaneda yet at the same time strongly resents his own reliance upon him. After hispsychokinetic abilities manifest, Tetsuo quickly becomes Kaneda's nemesis; he desires Kaneda's motorcycle (a symbol of status and power) and seeks to prove himself supremely powerful, without need of protection. Eventually, his power overwhelms him.

Movie gets crazier as u get further into it..it's about people's fear of technology...but its not based on this movie...it's based on Akira's tetsuo character..
