you nikkas. you can't really look at this shyt as one song vs another. they all fit together so well. Madonna is balanced off by shyt like Chopper to me. But after listening to this shyt backwards...it made even the songs i didnt really fukk with listenable and likeable. Give it a close listen brehs. fukk production and all that technical shyt. this is about pure Bars. and Wasalu Sama Spitteth them Tha Best :blessed:

I wasn't paying attention to the traklist when I listened for the first time. Can you imagine the look on my face when I realized who was rapping on the second verse on Chopper? It was a mix of :ohhh: :gladbron: :wow: :mindblown:

Said this earlier in the thread but Buk dropped a dope ass album last year, "The Deep End".

Thank you for letting me know. I honestly can't remember the last verse I heard from him. I'm definitely gonna have to check that album out.

He has a bunch of Youtube videos spitting random verses, his album dropped and probably went triple plaster board. I copped it off Itunes though, it's dope as fukk:

He's always had one of the best voices in hip hop imo. Never fails to catch my attention when he gets on a track. It sucks that his career never really took off. I'm gonna have to hit itunes tonight and check that album out. I trust you so I know it'll be dope.

He's spitting all over that shyt breh. I only heard about it because of Twitter, "Superserious" was the single that dropped in like 2013 then the album came out around summer last year. Cop it, it's only like $10.

I mean, outside of a couple tracks, I wasn't feeling the production either. I respect the musicianship at work, but a lot of the beats came off cheesy to me. :yeshrug:

I've really enjoyed reading the discussion around this album, though.

The only beat I can see someone saying is cheesy is Dots & Lines due to the weird elements like the banjo and it being it being very happy sounding. I dig that one but it's probably the soundscape I least look forward to on every listen.

Every beat definitely makes me go :lawd:. Everyone's ears and tastes are different though so I'll respect that and just say y'all are weird IMO.

solid album but some of the beats are just blah to me...none of em are wack...they're all good enough to get your head noddin....but not much here that willl blow you away. some of these beats sound like the type of shyt you'd hear on a new roots album...a little generic and on the safe side. little death and body of work are classics though. lupe really spittin, even if he does go overboard sometimes. i'll come back after a week and see how I feel.
album has really grown on me:leon:.....been bumpin the whole shyt in the ride and it's had me like :ahh:.....so I went to the store last night and copped it. had to support. lupe put together a really strong project here.
