There is nothing written by Kendrick that does not have a lyrically superior Lupe counterpart. He makes better music these days but that's largely due to Lu's ego and budget.

There is nooo way more people are playing F&L or The Cool over GKMC today. GKMC is a certified classic. It's still being brought up and getting plays. This Lupe tweet is the only reason Food and Cool are being brought up again. I haven't heard about those albums any other time.

GKMC is relatively new and nobody cares about it like that. The streaming numbers tell their own story. It ain’t streaming like Take Care, MBDTF and other albums that actually resonated and impacted.

It was an excellent moment in isolation. Nobody knowing “backseat freestyle” in 2018 lol

Kendrick has finally reached Jay-z type of level where he's the one you take a shot at to say that you like someone better, the one you compare everything to, the one that creates 25 pages for saying that he's not all that. And Coli is the best forum on the internet for having twisted opinions.

Your admiration of him seems to be that his bodies of work are great, but much of the criticism I've seen on here is that his actual skills are overblown.

Average-to-Good rappers make great albums, but that doesn't make them great rappers per se.

I'll give some examples in case I lost you: Rick Ross, Young Jeezy, Trick Daddy, 50 Cent, Drake, Kanye

Those are all rappers that aren't the most mind-blowing nikkas, a la Kendrick, but make great albums
