What makes you think this? Give me an example of a Kendrick song that Lupe cannot make.

That cheeseburger song was cringeworthy,but his fans ate it up.

How old are you? If you're old enough to remember the movies he was referencing in that song, how could you possibly say it was 'cringeworthy'?

Metaphorical rap is my favorite style, Ras Kass, Jay-Z, Lupe, Budden, Common, Redman rank really high as lyricist to me

But so does Nas, Pun, and G Rap they're not a metaphorical MCs. So there's multiple ways of being lyrical.

Kendrick just says a lot of things that just sound good but when you break it down doesn't really mean anything.

I see what you're saying but when I say metaphorical I mean more similes and wordplay. He's more descriptive, imaginative rapper, with great story telling and amazing ability to use compound syllables and all of that.

Nas isn't gonna give you metaphors in the way a Lupe or old Jay will.

Because its fakkit ass Complex and they want a story. And Lupe is a famous rapper who’s considered a dope lyricist so people gonna def pay attention to what he say about things like that regardless if people call him irrelevant or not. They say that shyt about anyone who dont got a hit single on the radio. Also. Lupe does NOT believe he’s only “sorta ok” at rapping. nikka has flat out said his shyt was better than everybody else shyt when he put out Tetsuo and Youth. He wasnt lying either. That was my number 1 album to drop that year.

Because it was a reach and corny. Rappers think rapping from the perspective of an inanimate object makes them a big shot,all because they heard I Gave You Power,Stray Bullet. Its purely an attempt to use a cheat code to me at this point,and if its not done well you certainly will not get the genius tag from me,and more than likely I will find it corny. But the overall premise of rapping as a cheesburger starts out corny in my opinion. If your a writer like me you realize how ammateur hour it is to even come up with it

I think we're talking about 2 different songs. I was referring to Double Burger with Cheese which is by no definition corny. Yal talking about Gotta Eat, my bad
