For starters...Jay-Z(STFU Lupe, we all suspect you ghostwrote for him b4 stop playin), Homeboy Sandman(I dont listen to him enough to judge), Aesop Rock(I dont listen to him enough to judge), King Los(I dont listen to him enough to judge), B-Magic(I dont listen to him enough to judge), Charlie Clips(I dont listen to him enough to judge), Daylyt, Camron(Obvious Trolling), Chino XL(I dont listen to him enough to judge), Canibus(I can see this as being true), Cassidy (I can see that but not on no deep shyt though, just strait up bar for bar when in form and only on ''freestyles''), MF Doom(Agreed), Mickey Fact(I dont listen to him enough to judge).....

Haven't heard a lot of work from much of that list and I've been into lyricists for years. I hear about Aesop but never had a song catch my interests and straight up never heard of some heads like B-Magic and Charlie Clips. Haven't heard enough from Mickey Factz (he got albums?) and King Los needs more albums.

If anything Jay ghostwrote for Lupe cause dude has not been a top rapper since he stopped fukking with him ca 07. Was ass for like 9 years came back and dropped some dope tracks and back to average quick.
While jay dropped his possibly weakest album fukking with Lupe then dope the aight then dope the aight then
dope. 22 years out of his prime going toe to toe with the champion of this generation.
Say what you want about Lupe’s inconsistency but his stans are consistently the most smackable fans in music. I would say Bieber or Nicki but they are little girls and are supposed to be like that.

Not saying it matches that’s song but
Lupe views battle rap as the purest form of hip hop. It’s just lyrics vs lyrics and some of the ones he named are creative and come up with punchlines that you really couldn’t put to a beat but are creative as fukk. B Magic for instance is one of the best at punchlines he can rap as well but as far as punching he’s elite and that’s apart of lyricism.
I cant explain why lupe fell off ....i really cant........other than laziness and maybe chasing paper/girls, and i have met a couple of annoying Lupe fans for sue but on my soul i will testify that jay never ever wrote for lupe. Its not even possible. We would know from the lyrics. Jay cannot go to the places Lupe goes lyrically...

I understand. He's in the bracket with cassidy then. RAW dope punchlines on some rough battle type tracks that can stand up to Lupe's punchlines.
Lupe is just a lot more refined.
