That Texans team had problems scoring the ball too which made that defense vulnerable as well. I'm not saying that this is a shutdown defense but this Falcons defense is young, fast, opportunistic, gets turnovers and has gotten better since our BYE week

They just had Boston Globe columnist Dan Shaunnessy on the radio here and he said something interesting: he didn't know how good this Patriots team is b/c y'all haven't really played anybody. Now I'm not blaming y'all for beating who you have to play but if we're looking at it objectively why would I be nervous when y'all haven't really been tested this season and haven't played an offense anywhere close to what you're gonna see in 2 weeks?

I agree ATL will be the biggest test. But I do believe our defense (especially our front is good). I don't think we need to be a top defense to slow y'all down. I don't think you should be nervous but Pats fans shouldn't be either:yeshrug:. We've got the best coach of alltime who has a history of slowing down historic offenses. And we've got tom Brady and our offense vs your defense which isn't that good. I know we haven't faced the toughest competition that's why I think it will be close. I think y'all will be able to move the ball but even if we aren't a top defense we are definitely better than Green Bay. And Green Bay had there opportunities that they squandered.

Basically I think the patriots offense is better than the Atlanta defense by a larger margin than atlantas offense is better than the patriots defense.

But just like people are saying who have the patriots played to say they have a good defense, we can also say Atlanta has benefited by playing against 3 of the top 5 worst passing defenses 6 times this year.

But anyway I think this will be a great game. I see it being close all the way down to the gun. I think the first team to turn the ball over will lose. And both teams don't turn the ball over

We'll have our hands full defending them no doubt. But you can't guard speed. Beli sees it. We have a speed advantage that is gonna throw off what they want to do

Y'all get ALL the attention ALL the time. Y'all have a very good offense but I like what we can do with our young guys in zone, in man to man, with the blitz...again pay attention to how we've played down the stretch with this defense since the BYE. This is a top 5-10 defense since our BYE week with points allowed, turnovers, yards allowed. We're much better defensively than people are giving us credit for

Like for all the talk of "how are the patriots gonna stop this offense?" there should be equal worry about "how is our defense gonna stop this patriots offense". It goes both ways. This offense isn't a lightweight and that defense isn't a juggernaut.
You talk about who the patriots have played defensively but look at who atl has played defensively since the bye week:dwillhuh:. Y'all did well vs Russell Wilson and the worst Oline in football and Aaron Rodgers and the most one dimensional offense in the NFL (Oline also got so busted up they had a DT playing at guard:heh:). But this is a whole different beast.

Aye but regardless this is all conjecture until the game actually arrives. The game won't be won on the Coli :russ:.
Good luck to the falcons. God knows there's a part of me that wants this for them. Hope we see a great game with no injuries
