Why would Disney pick up a Netflix Marvel show that has like no connections to the MCU when they're actually making MCU tv shows

at Danny/Luke running around NYC but JJ or DD can't show up because they're in the Netflix Universe

The Deadline report notes that creative differences and the inability to strike a deal could be factors. There is also the chance that this is Marvel and Netflix changing directions. Jeph Loeb has noted that Daughters of the Dragon, a series starring Misty Knight and Colleen Wing, is one of the most requested series he gets right now. By cancelling Iron Fist and Luke Cage they can spin the two shows off into Daughters of the Dragon and possibly a Heroes for Hire show starring Luke Cage and Iron fist. Two mighty Marvel team-ups could be the new direction for the Marvel Netflix partnership.

Don't want see Misty and Cooleen unless they change boths gals, also don't want to see Luke and Danny. But they will probably make it work!

I enjoyed season 2, bushmaster was great but again..just like Iron Fist, the main character was the weakest point of the show although Luke was much easier to watch.

Disney Streaming Service Will Not Include Any R-Rated Movies


Disney’s service will NOT feature ANY Mature or R rated content. Luke Cage had plenty of sex and graphic violence so it won’t make the cut to be on Disney’s “child friendly” service.

So there’s no hope of a revival. They literally AXED the show because the BLACK showrunner who ran two successful seasons didn’t want the network interfering. These are the same muthafukkas who gave the white man who RUINED Dextor free reign to rape the carcass of the Inhumans series.

Get Down was , wasn't getting critical acclaim and was expensive as fukk. The first season cost 120M, there were numerous delays and Netflix finally said fukk it, y'all gotta give us something to air. That's why we had the split season and the cost cutting measures in the back half like the animated scenes.
