We drafted the player with the higher ceiling, finessed y'all out of a potential lottery pick for at least one of the next 5 years and got the guy we really wanted. Why would we be mad?

Does anybody not realize that the Mavs got the guy they wanted as well? And most everybody had Luka as a top 5 pick. Not so much with Trey, for a reason. You can have our 8th pick next year. Will not care one bit.

Two things...Trae does not have a higher ceiling than Luka.
Also yall did not finesse us out of a lottery pick We gave it away. Our front office believes next yrs draft is weak so they didn't care for that pick

Been trying to tell them that. The Mavs do not care for the pick and if they win say 35 games next year, you can have the 10th pick in that draft for all I care.

I just saw on Fox 4 News that Clippers are willing to trade DeAndre Jordan to the Mavs.


@Poitier Why do the Mavs love DeAndre Jordan so much? Does he do something well enough on offense that would make him a featured player in Carlise's offense?

When the Mavs were pursuing DeAndre Jordan back in 2015, they made it seem like DeAndre Jordan was going to be a goto star player for us.

What y'all describing sounds more like a key important starter/role player. If that's the case, I'd rather have DeMarcus Cousins.

cousins won't be available until 2019 at the earliest. plus he's coming off a ACL injury no thanks

DJ will be a Mav by the end of the day. Wish we didn't have to give up Wes to get him.

Hope we can bring back Yogi, McDermott, and Curry. Really want to drop Barea but I know how much RC love him. Plus him Devin and Wes were big in helping DSJ last season doubt they want to get rid of all 3
