The problem with Kofi is that he never had any significant moments or fueds to defined his career (unless u count the battle royal/MITB spots). Orton was supposed to be that guy to get him into the upper echelon of superstars but they pulled the plug on it quickly and he went back to being a marginal babyface with no progression, no sense of direction for the duration of his career.

His gimmick has ran its course and he's in need of a turn. At some point, he has to ask himself is he content with his spot (which is not a bad spot to be btw), or do I wanna finally be the guy. Its like after the Orton thing, he just said fukk it...

Kofi was/is never going to be world champ...but as far as what he is, he's had a successful career as anyone EVER in WWE.

You know Vince loves those RR & BR spots he does so well. He's loyal, doesnt get hurt, and doesnt complain

A dude like Kofi has a job for life. Plus he has a degree so he could be a real WWE employee once his in-ring days are done, if he wanted to. But I'm sure he'll have more than enough money by then to retire

Honestly whether Kofi is world champ material isn't the issue for me, because with the right story behind it a lot of guys who look like no-names can have a convincing title reign.

Key word being "story": when I made that post @Ed MOTHEREFFING G was talking about, it wasn't about Kofi's status but specifically the angles he's been through over the years. Being a midcard staple for 8 years with tons of belt wins but having only one or two notable feuds or must-see matches to your name doesn't make any sense to me.

The only thing I think they should do with him that they aren't doing is occasionally place him in main events/give him a title shot on Raw, let him rub shoulders with the top guys, just as a way to shake off the JTTS stench from time to time.

Remember when he beat Orton (as champion) clean on the low earlier this year? He didn't get pinned in the rematch either because Orton got the beats from Cena and got into that mysterious car.



As far as Kofi's career, he's fine. I think he's aware of what he's good at. Dude's 32, got a wife and kid, and is relatively over. If you know your strengths and get TV time as one of the few faces that people like, why not make your money. With his in-ring style, his body's bound to break down and when he can't get over with that shyt, THEN he can probably start working up into more mature shyt.

Now Orton was fukked up for blowing a gasket the way he did, i'll admit that...Kofi was supposed to stay down for a punt, not get up for an RKO and Orton told him to stay down twice...Orton was forced to improvise.

And the 2nd time he fukked up was when he was supposed to save Mark Cuban from getting punted...Orton was about to run and Kofi was SUPPOSED run out there and stop....Orton ran and had to stop because Kofi missed his cue, it looked awkward as hell orton stopping mid punt and simply stomping on Mark Cuban..so Orton had to do the spot again and then Kofi finally came out..

Yeah. It was the worst thing that could have happened to both Miz and Truth. Truth still could have been riding the momentum from his Cena feud and it made Miz somewhat tolerable and kept him relevant.
