I don't know why, but he seems like he's content with where he is on the card. That's fine with him because he's essentially pro-longing his career. But his character and his moveset has grown stale over the years. Besides the 1,000 battle royals we've seen this year, can anyone even name a classic Kofi match? Does he even want a classic match? When dudes talk about guys being content where they are, I always think of Kofi because he has all the talent in the world to be further than where he is.
The WWE will only give those opportunities to the people who they want. You can be determined and driven but it means nothing if the WWE never wanted you to get to the next level.

They've put him in that "The guy who does cool spots in the battle royals but never wins" position. Similar to when Shelton Benjamin was in that "The guy who does cool spots in the Money in the Bank match but never wins" position.
Every time a MITB rolled around I kept rooting for Shelton, he never won one and he was the highlight of pretty much every one he was in. You already knew he would do something cool in the match but they never let him win one.

Clear midcarder? Kofi's booking has been non-existent for the past 2 years. When he was red hot during the Orton feud, he could have gotten to that next level. And if people like Miz and Swagger can hold World Titles, Kofi is more than qualified.
