@I AM WARHOL More I think about it I think Tomlin is trying to have his cake and eat it too.

I think Russ starts but Fields still plays on some Tebow shyt.

However, subbing a QB in for run plays is so much harder in the NFL. When he's out there full time he can catch a team lacking or if its a bad play he can check out of it.

I hope breh don't get hurt doing this shyt...when he's eventually subbed in.

I actually think Russ is going to kill it.

Like Tua mentioned the thing about the NFL is that QB's have so much more responsibility pre-snap, calling the coverages, etc. and I think if that's the case here, this is where Russ may look like his old self again and won't have to scramble as much as Fields does. Then of course people will credit the offensive line.
Steelers still have no weapons besides George Pickens and Russ can't really run anymore...

Unless the Steelers trade for D Hop I don't see how Russ is gonna kill it

Love the mentality. He’s gotta take this as an opportunity. Honestly, people underestimate how much can be learned on the bench if you start locked in. I didn’t want Justin to start at the beginning of the year so other than him just lighting it up off rip, this is the best case scenario imo.

good to see that dude is real about himself unlike his stans. he played decent, but not nearly good enough to where it shouldnt be a convo on who should start. that cowboys game was criminal and shouldve been a win. but this type of mentality will have him in the league in some capacity for 10+ years.

It'll be interesting to see if CAIII gets the ball thrown his way more. He's been getting open.

Kinda agree although there was blatant shyt like this where Russ would get murdered.

Fields balled out but there are maddening times when he just flat out missed throws he should have made. His athleticism covered up a lot of situations

Also penalties by the oline really handicapped Fields at times. Starting out drives in a deficit.

I am looking forward to seeing what Russ can do. Just his experience and history of winning should be the equalizer and put him slightly ahead of Fields

Flat out the Steelers need to get more efficient on offense. Our way of playing offense is not really sustainable

I've seen a few Steeler games this year and for every amazing play only a Fields type player can make there's 2/3 drive killing gimmes he's missing

this is pretty hard to do, only Taysom Hill has kinda worked doing that in the NFL the last decade or so

I remember when shanny tried it with Trey and Jimmy subbing Trey in for goal line packages and then he said he was uncomfortable doing it because essentially he was working with two different playbooks and he himself sometimes would get confused and his QBs needed rhythm
