You proved my point.No. WWE is like a major label. You sign your contract, and your career - from the songwriting to the marketing - is taken over by a team packaging you as a product. The indies are like independent label distribution or self-publishing. You make your own merch, you book your own gigs, you write your own music. Yeah, there's a chance that you could go platinum on a major label. But there's a better chance you end up touring on one hit you had 15 years ago because the major label decided your genre was a fad, or held your second album back long enough that people forgot about you.
"Wwe is like a MAJOR label"
"The indies are like an INDY label"
Whatd i miss here?
Is AAA a major now too cause they sell out in mexico?
Wwe is a WORLDWIDE COMPANY.
NJPW is a JAPANESE company.
When NJPW sells out arenas in america, canada, mexico and can tour in europe and the middle east and all of asia then NJPW will be a similar company.
Their in 2 different stratospheres it isnt even close. All bevause the internet made it easier to see both shows does NOT mean they are the same.
U got kids in india redoing wwe shows in the slums. Think they know who okada is? Idk who okada is and i could be labeled a mark myself because i been a fan since 1989.
And just like in hip hop with your analogy, we have people who think being indy makes you better than being major as if yur more real.
In hip hop their called backpackers. In wrestling their smarks.
