they are too multi-generational to claim any one individual race, thus the reason they use nationality. I know this because it was explained to me by brazilians while I was there. I do less 'know it all' when I'm abroad and more learning about the history of said peoples....

Blacks are admixture too, though. That logic doesn't hold up. To be Black anywhere outside of Africa is to be multi-generationally mixed.

You seem to have this fairytale that every Afro-Latino is light skin, straight hair, green eyes, etc...

Sure that exist, but so do Creoles and Yellowbones.

The OP and people like him have been trained well. They view blacks as monkeys. They view themselves as monkeys. An amazing level of self hatred is on display. The idea that any black that falls outside of white America's dehumanizing depictions of blacks in 1920s propaganda posters must not be considered black is just so disgustingly pathetic.

Lol you just learned from this thread what multigenerationally mixed means and the majority of blacks outside of africa aren't mgm which is why those who are all so coveted. Brazilians, Dominicans, Puerto Ricans and why Haitians aren't. Stop it breh. Most blacks especially in America don't have parents of different races throughout their ancestral background.

man black americans have like one white ancestor or 2. brazilians have been mixing 500 years longer than america. on top of that it, it wasnt just one bi-racial person, who then went on to hit the fields and be brought into the african american community, brazil was totally different, they didn't have the same economic divide lines. bi-racial folks were actually marrying WHITE people during the european influx in the 1800s when the regime was trying to white wash the country. Its way different than black america. I would say it's closer to creoles < notice we have a special name for these people, and it's not 'black'.

:what: Do you even know what biracial means? It's two races. Eurasia is goddamn landmass breh :laff: Eurasian is mixed ancestry of Asian and European.

You just contradicted your self in two sentences, breh.

Stop making up shyt to fit your argument. Black Americans being a product of generational mixing is well documented. Haiti is it's own diaspora. I can tell a Ghanian easily from a Black American.

Exactly. That's why I don't my panties in a bunch when they identify as such. It makes perfect sense. They don't acknowledge our archaic and racist views of blackness and whiteness in their countries.

:whoa: I don't agree with you but that has a lot to do with the "claiming" of these people. AA's have a lot of low self esteem in our image. I remember a thread on Lipstick Alley. Most of these women are black Americans yet when asked who are the best looking women in the world they all said Brazilians. Brazilians are noticeably mixed raced. And you would think a people who are constantly concerned about their image waning in the public conscious they'd big up black american women.

They weren't mixing for "500 years longer." They were enslaved a few decades before and were freed a few decades before. There's more Taino blood in the average Dominican than there is Native American in the average Black, but this whole White blood being more significant is a farce.

Creoles are Black, breh. Just like the lightest of Dominicans are Black, breh. David Ortiz is not closer to a creole than me and I am classified as Black. Keep thinking all Dominicans are this light skinned, green eyed race.

After looking at him yes breh. It's really not hard man.

Can a Haitian tell themselves apart from a Jamaican? :skip: I don't know why this offends you or is such a far out thing. My Kenyan neighbor took one look at me and knew I wasn't no Kenyan.
