Nope, they are both Black and White. Race is a construct in the first place. I could honestly care about another man's definition.

I should also add....that I think the U.S version of race labeling is outdated and IMO the latin american way is far more dated. They are ahead of us in terms of racial complexity and mixing, and I think their outlook is more progressive. they're a cpl centuries ahead of us, so I see them as the blueprint.

My point is that biracial carries no cultural or historical connotation. It's an ambiguous term. A person of mixed heritage has every right to claim both races separately.

But these are women, they're insecure. If you were to ask white women who the best looking women are, they'd probably say black. I'm black, African American or whatever. Do I think black men are the best looking men? Eh no, I think if you faf (fine as fukk or fye as fukk, but fine in this case) then you're faf. Do I think I'm faf? I don't know but I'm getting pretty close, my only problem is that I don't hang onto race. I like to be liked by women, but I don't like to be liked by women because I'm black, I like to be liked because of me. I don't agree with you but that has a lot to do with the "claiming" of these people. AA's have a lot of low self esteem in our image. I remember a thread on Lipstick Alley. Most of these women are black Americans yet when asked who are the best looking women in the world they all said Brazilians. Brazilians are noticeably mixed raced. And you would think a people who are constantly concerned about their image waning in the public conscious they'd big up black american women.

I went to Punta Cana in 2011 and at least half of the people there looked as black as any random AA. When people refer to self hating Dominicans they obviously aren't referring to people who look like the people in your post. There are white, mulatto (tons) and mestizo Dominicans out there.
