But these people are black?

Where did I say that?

Admixture doesn't delete your Blackness, breh. By definition, none of us measure of to Blackness, unless you come from East Africa. We're using ourselves as the frame of reference for Blackness when we aren't even it's most purest form.

So Brazil has a comparable sized African population to America, percentage wise, but a significantly higher mixed population, where as we have those who are significantly White, in comparison to their White latin counterparts, and you don't understand why that makes it just as legitimate in African history or they can't claim to be Black?
brazil has 7% of people that ID with majority black ancestry, but almost 50% of the population are prados aka mixed.

can you imagine if america was 50% mixed. and 7% is far less than america's 12%. and they're black population is shrinking every decade.

and yes east africans are black. tanzania, uganda, south sudan, zimbabwe, ethiopia, kenya, mozembique. they are pretty damn black. ugandans and south sudanese are the darkest people in africa. the woman in my avatar is east african.

ask these domincans what they classify themselves as, and I bet it's not black.

The reason a lot of latin american countries like cubans, brazilians, venezuelans don't call themselves a color, is because unlike north america, they are far too mixed to be called one exclusively, so they tend to just go with their nationality.

the only time they say a shade.....when when a north american ASKS them to ID with one. but within their country, they're not as 'color' obsessed as north americans.

this is accurate, to them national pride reigns supreme its deeper then shyt like racial make up...just because they answered they where dominican when someone ask them of there race/ethnicity doesnt mean there in denial they're just doing it to decipher themselves from other latino and blacks......just imagine if jim crow wasn't administered in the US brehs...................

...some of my good friends are afro-latino(I'm talkin david ortiz, yasiel puig, alfonso soriano looking mfers) who fully conscious of there blackness and claim it with prride as well as there fam ...they obviously do it in a different way then AA's, which some people cant seem to accept ....and they will tell first hand that there is a racism and colorism issue in there country especially the old heads....

You said Armenians aren't white on the first page and weren't you arguing that those people in the pictures that mikebrown posted are black?

Alright, I should state it like this. Armenians are White and Asian. Though White in the old sense and not the current day context of White = Anglo-Saxon.

brazil has 7% of people that ID with majority black ancestry, but almost 50% of the population are prados aka mixed.

can you imagine if america was 50% mixed. and 7% is far less than america's 12%. and they're black population is shrinking every decade.

The average Habesha looks nothing like a West African (who we are using as the frame of reference for Blackness)

No one came into this thread calling Dominicans c00ns, breh. They have their own culture. Blacks in America have their own culture. Most Blacks in America don't care for their African heritage just as much as Dominicans. This is not what is being debated.

I didn't use west african as a marker. :wtf: quote that. I just listed a shyt load of east african countries who have the darkest people on the planet.

you said east african. you do realize there are MANY countries in east africa? check out my list. why not ask habesha what they consider themselves. I gave what brazilians, dominicans and african americans consider themselves. I dont know much about habeshas. I know that they admit to having semite blood, to what extent, how or how long or why, I have no idea. ask them.

im talking about brazilians and dominicans who come from the new world. a world where we can mark the mixture a lot more accurate.

Look breh, I could care less. Anyone with noticeable African ancestry is welcome to claim it in my book. From Biracials to the darkest of the dark.

These dudes in here weren't talking about the David Ortiz type Dominicans. They were talking about the mulattoes like Arod, Michelle Rodriguez etc.

Not at all. If you go to my first post, it clearly says and I paraphrase "curate all of the lightest Dominicans"

1/3 of white americans have african ancestry. that's 90 million white people.

Link? And are the percentages similar to the Whites in Latin America?

I switched black with white, so you can see how that works.

personally anyone with a white PARENT is bi-racial. thus the word BI-racial.
