Yeh - Lopez was much better than Loma expected.They counted on him being bigger and stronger but not as fast and as good as he was. The speed in particular. He couldn't hack it. When Lopez started to slow in the 7th - Loma went in hard and won the next 4 rounds.I'm seeing some sneaked in narratives. You can't say loma too small when he had championships at the weight, was the big favorite, and was p4p number 1.
Size a factor but man knew what he was doing
Which is why I give Teo so much ratings for the 12th. He dug deep and won that round convincingly.
Had Loma won that - a draw could be arguable but nah - Teo had his number. Teo won clearly but it was competitive
Floyd was still faster than Canelo. He held that speed his entire career.
Physically Loma has nothing on Lopez. He only got going when Teo's power/speed started to decrease

Rewatching the fight Lopez won but it was competitive, I don't feel like he just dusted Loma like people are saying. I'm kinda torn on rounds 2,6 & 7

the only reason he didnt get dusted is because he ran for 6 rounds. he knew a KO was a real risk if he got hit by a fresh teo.

Stop, Loma probably landed the hardest shots overall. You see Lopez face in the clip you posted.
In a round where neither dude landed more than 10-15 punches. 1 or 2 clean hard shots can get you that round. I think Loma did that in 2nd. Rest of them early rounds naw give that to Lopez

Yeah I think it's a lot closer then some here think, I actually thought teo was going to get knocked out in the 11th. He was really bad in the 2nd half outside of the 12th
I dont think its a draw but it's definitely not no crazy shyt like 9-3. Loma was landing flesh shots in that 2nd half really risking KO

You must've missed the hard right hand, 2 hard body shots & then another hard right that sent Loma across the ring toward the ropes all in just the first minute of the round lol. Lopez did more work after that & won the round hands down
