Let's be real. Teo made Loma look basic as hell. It's no point trying to sugarcoat it. From the very start Teo had him timed and figured out. Anything Loma did teo had an answer. Loma has become predictable as he's gone up in weight. All the pretty shyt worked better when his opponents actually feared his power. Now these bigger guys just come straight at him.

Teo let him back in the fight when he started getting fatigued but he let loose in the 12th and completely beat the fukk out of Loma. Had his legs wobbly as hell in the final minute. Teo not only looked like the more skilled fighter, he looked like the smarter fighter. Loma and his corner knew he lost. You can tell as they were waiting for the decision. This shyt was clear as day.

Rewatching the fight Lopez won but it was competitive, I don't feel like he just dusted Loma like people are saying. I'm kinda torn on rounds 2,6 & 7

Yeah round two I need to run back. Regardless, Loma started too slow. And he clearly lost round 12 which he needed. Lopez closing round 12 was hunger 101. He earned those straps.

Cosign. A lot of people were giving Loma credit for finally being competitive in the late rounds but the only round I felt he had a clearly won was round 11. I think he could've been given any of the competitive rounds from 8-10 but the rounds that he lost (1-7) were clear. And I think the 12th round showed why he was scared to engage to begin with.

I'm not trying to hear anything about him needing to go back down in weight. He's beaten top guys in the division at the weight. He just got beat by the better fighter that night. It is what it is :francis:

In regard to him going back to 130...

Iā€™d like to see him face Berchelt or Shakur. Those 2 are great fights that can be easily made since itā€™s in house . @Loose you told me this was his last fight with TR.. whereā€™s the source breh? :jbhmm:

In this day and age is the ppv model even viable anymore? Especially when you factor in in person fights may never be the same again

one thing boxing fans in general are very split on is the concept of PPV and in today's boxing there are agendas that fuel the pros and cons for PPV

Interesting. I was worried about it going against the Bama game but I think that game was pretty much over when the fight was in the meat of it. Those numbers are especially impressive being that the first half wasn't really casual friendly.

Any final numbers on the Charlo PPV? Did that even hit 200k? Wonder what PPV sales Tank and LSC has to hit to be a success and whether it makes more sense for that to have been free given this development for Loma/Lopez ratings :ehh:

I think the issues are the promoters. If the ā€œSanctioning bodiesā€ acted as individual leagues they could imo work out the major deals with networks and then the unifications could be cross platform or ppv events.

i noticed boxers dont even really have sponsor shil deals with footwear/athletic wear companies. Anthony Joshua seems to be the only one i can think of.

the issue going forward is nobody wants to take the risk associated with what it would take to get boxers major payouts.
