I heard the same, but I also heard, the extras are closer to Proclivities in tone. I'm not going to say it's a bad song, but I like it in small doses
Yeah, that's what he said on his special Sirius XM channel, that he made 3 or 4 in that vein and they'll come out on a deluxe digital edition for the ladies since he knows the album didn't have a lot of songs for "them."

Funny how the Q-Tip produced Danny Brown album stalled his career yet this one somewhat revives LL's. It's a good album. Not great but good. The last song is a terrible finale though.
What’s the Danny Brown album called?

What makes LL more in impressive for his career

He's not a story teller like Slick Rick
Or inner rhymes like Rakim
Or politically charged like KRS
Or straight up lyrical like Kane or Kool G mixed with street rhymes. He can be I know. But that's not really him overall.

He's like a throw back block MC still relevant. Party rhymes, girls, and bragging

He's managed to basically be a straight up B-boy his whole career.

Doubt that crowd knew his music, but let the kids learn! :mjlit:

White rock bands can tour into their 60s,...no reason hip hop artists can't do the same if we respect our legends and teach the classics to our younger generation. The younger gen don't have to bump it, but they must respect it

There’s wayyyyyyyy more lyrical substance on this particular album than party rhymes, girls, and bragging. The intro is literally about murdering a racist cop.

I get it. I'm just saying LL (and I'm a fan) is not usually multilayered like the above.

He's got it. But that's not what you think of when you mention LL. He and Busta are similar - you think more of their energy and intensity than lyrics. Murdergram Deux is pretty much him in a nutshell.

He usually does

3-4 'jiggy' tracks
3-4 rap songs.
3-4 love songs

I'm Bad or Mama Said are Waayyyyy different then Check out my Melody or Eric B for President.

He even said so himself

Sometimes
his talent gets overlooked due to the difference between the two.
