This discrepancy is easily explained by the fact that the other witnesses witnessed the immediate aftermath (after the shot), while this witness witnessed the actual scuffle, prior to the gunshot.

According to Zimmerman, after he shot Trayvon, he laid him on the ground, got on top of him and spread his arms because he wasn't sure Trayvon was dead. Therefore, his alibi hasn't been necessarily contradicted.

Jeannee Manolo, a resident of the townhouse community, testified that she heard cries for help and saw two people hitting each other.

she was probably further away and couldnt make out who was actually on top.....however she did say the person who was on top is the one who got up.....but I guess that was after the shot......either way was not a good look for the prosecution.......

At the end of the day, this fakkit thought he was a Navy SEAL or some shyt, he tracked down a kid for no reason and then shot the kid dead. He should burn.

That's the only thing I'm looking at, if Zimmerman goes free, vigilantes won't ever have to worry about going to jail for accosting someone.

They can blow someone's head clean off, and it will hold up in court. I really don't understand how anything else is relevant.

He was told to observe and never approach someone by the liaison from Sanford PD, he crossed that line and someone got killed. You accost someone, things usually doesn't end up well, we will see if the jury feels like a fight was unexpected in this scenario.

Its not about race, because this will affect all, because dudes are really lighting up folks in Florida and claiming self-defense and stand your ground.

If the defense can't prove that...

1. Trayvon told Zimmerman that he was going to die.

2. Have a witness that saw Trayvon reach for Zimmerman gun.

Then he is guilty.

You just can't shoot someone for getting your asss whooped in a fight.

if defense can prove zimmerman was the one getting punched before shooting, no way he would get 2nd degree murder. prosecution should have went for manslaughter.

Why no way? It's not like his life was in danger. Plus they can still go for manslaughter. It's the lesser charge.

In Florida, yes you can. If you truly feel your life is danger and you own your weapon legally, you can claim it was in self defense.

The question is if Zimmerman was the aggressor (which I think he was), does that still apply? That's basically one of the most important factors the jury has to decide.

There have been some cases down here where someone was getting their ass whooped and shot in self defense and was not even charged. But in those cases they clearly were not the aggressor.

I'll try to pull some of them up.

Not to mention that fact that this was a witness for the PROSECUTION.

:snoop: he was a witness. he actually saw things. he would be on the stand regardless. the prosecution calls witnesses first. so it's in their best interest to get him up there, and do their best to deal with his narrative. not act like he doesn't exists, and look bad when the defense puts him up there later

I think the fact that this case has people actually rooting for the prosecution has confused things. they're still the state, and have to present their case just like any other case

these people aren't random 'character witnesses'. they're actual witnesses

It doesn't matter if he was getting punched. You can't shot anyone because you are in a hand to hand fight.

Zimmerman whole excuse is that Trayvon reached for his gun and that why he shot him.

If he told police that he shot Trayvon because he was getting punched, then they would've charged him with murder instead of self-defense. Shooting an unarmed man is murder, unless he was trying to take your gun.

Here is one of those cases:

A man has died after a fender bender ended with bullets flying.

Just after 11 a.m. Thursday, a man died after what witnesses called a case of road rage at the intersection of Oakland Park Boulevard and Dixie Highway. Homicide officials are investigating and said the shooting looked like self-defense. The case will now go on to the State Attorney's's Office for review, and if any charges are pending.

The accident involved a white van and a gold Chrysler sedan. Police reported that witnesses at the scene said they saw the Chrysler rear-end the van, and that driver, 28-year-old David Figueroa, stepped out of his car to argue over a scratch on his car with the van's driver, identified as 50-year-old Tom Thompson.

Police said the two got into a physical fight on the street. Thompson tried to flee into his van and Figueroa pulled him out. Thompson pulled a gun on Figueroa and shot him.
Janice Fryer witnessed the shooting and said it looked like road rage to her. "Two guys fighting, I guess road rage or something, and then we heard a loud bang and one guy collapsed on the sidewalk," she said.

Oakland Park Paramedics responded to the scene and transported Figueroa to Broward General Medical Center where doctors later pronounced him dead. Thompson stayed on the scene where he spoke to detectives.

Authorities added that Thompson has a valid license to carry a gun.

The evidence and his history shows Zimmerman is a foul individual, I don't think people would stomach manslaughter. Zimmerman was probably not out for blood that day, but its something he always considered an option since he had 1 in the chamber.

Forensic evidence shows Trayvon never punched Zimmerman, a fight did happen, but Zimmerman said it started when Trayvon punched him. Dumb ass thought the police would not check Trayvon's hands. He's a liar and a killer, :smoker: @ all these holes in his case.

If he gets acquitted, it would be because of lack of evidence.
