I am in a minority, but I dont think Latu is anywhere to a slam dunk edge rush prospect. I'll admit that I didnt watch as much tape on him as Id usually do to make some type of evaluation, but I watched enough watching guys like Fautanu/Fuaga go against him...that Im a bit lower on him than the rest

I think Bosa comparison is crazy. Bosa is built like a truck (his quads are ridiculous ) and his bull rush is a huge factor. Bosa is also really good at run defense when he doesnt overcommit. Bosa is a technician in a body that has a lot of raw power

Latu is more of a speed rusher with a bend. Maybe Im biased because Ive just seen a 2nd round bendy rusher from pac-12 just not do shyt on my team, but NFL olinemen will adjust for that bend.

And I belive Kollman mentions it as well. Lack of power means olinemen dont have to worry about being beaten up in that department and can plant and plan for bendy moves

Yeah, I don't like the Bosa comparison either.

That said, dude got some serious bend and Von Miller is maybe my favorite edge rusher of all-time, so I'm biased there as well (Von Miller was much more explosive wrt to first step). It'll all depend on what else he adds to his game because his agility and bend at 6'5 are a great foundation (if no health concerns). If he can get low and use his height "sideways" while doing so, that can be a tough guy to stop.

I really just like the way he "chains" moves and countermoves together along along with a zig-zag bouncing around the pocket kind of style with the bend which reminds me of Von. Again, not the same athlete but I do like seeing that motor and finishing ability.

Any players you guys DON'T want your team to draft? For me as a Lions fan there's not much that I'd be upset about but in the 1st round? I'm not an Adonai Mitchell fan. I think the Lions are drafting a WR, possibly in the first round, but I'm not sold on him. All the rumors about his health (diabetes) and allegedly having a shytty attitude are turnoffs and there were plays where he kinda just gave up on routes.

The other guy I don't want...Chop Robinson. Elite athlete, could be an all-pro pass rusher in the NFL. But I'm just so baffled at the lack of production at Penn State, I don't know what to make of him. I watched a lot of Big Ten football, saw him beat tackles all the time and just not get the sack. Dunno man.

If you need an edge, you want Chop. That mfer made Michigan OLine look like pop warner. That's the only edge to make us look bad. And it wasn't a play or two. We legit stopped throwing the ball (zero passes in the second half alone) because we couldn't contain him. Short routes. Intermediate routes. Quick slants. Quick outs. Screens. Didn't matter. He lived in our backfield.

Reports from the combine were that Lions staff were telling people Williams has turned a corner and will knock it out the park this season. I def believe that, and you could see his improvement over the last few games+playoffs. But I still think WR is in the mix because he's a Z receiver and we don't have a big X. So I def think that if the right, big receiver is there at 29 we'll pull the trigger. Lions met with Xavier Legette and Brian Thomas Jr at the combine. Both are bigger body 6'2 guys who would fit that role perfectly.

Xavier Leggette because him taking so long to breakout looks fishy .

Chop or any other undersized speed rusher because with Aiden and Houston they need an edge that can stop the run at least a little bit .

But if Holmes do draft them I can’t be mad because he’s shown he knows what hes doing
