For the real beat nerds out here, Nottz is Khrysis' biggest influence. Khrysis even had to and go "Okay I don't wanna end up biting this guy."
Khrysis did this joint below and it sounds a lot like Nottz.
But my overall point is after the mid 00's Khrysis experimented a lot and got heavily influenced by Dilla, Nottz, Oh No, and went way more outside of the soul sample bag that 9th was in. Khrysis will sample video games, movies, Australian folk records, hell he even sampled a collection of his own shoes hitting various solid objects for some kick drums he used...that's why on The Shining Sean Boog says "ask Khrysis bout the kick in the track. Because Khrysis literally used a shoe and kicked it against the wall and sampled that to make the kick drum. But Khrysis put me onto Nottz in like 2006 and ever since then I can tell he's a huge influence. Nottz also samples a lot of stuff that's not your average soul sample.
I pity the pizza man coming in and seeing a dude drop kicking a damn wall just to get a proper sound
