Atlantic didn’t fly him out to participate in any shows. They flew him out to do press. So he was going to be in the venues but not participating in the shows.

Thats exactly what I said. Its like people watch the documentary or hear the interviews but don’t LISTEN to what is actually being said. Pooh and Phonte had every right to be mad at that whole situation. 9th was figuratively spitting in their faces, though it was more than likely unintentional on his part its still a foul move

They made GREAT music when all three were together but to say they haven’t made better music, all three of them, since separating EIGHTEEN YEARS AGO is categorically false.
I disagree wholeheartedly. The music has been good since they separated and done their solo and collaborative projects with other artists, but it doesn't feel or hit the same as their collective work. Pooh has gotten better but the talent gap is wider between him, 9th and Phonte.

I agree but I saw the documentary (which was great btw). They told 9th to go do his business with Jay-Z and Beyoncé. When 9th tried to go to the tour they was like “nah we been grindin without you “blah blah blah”. So you can’t tell the man to go handle his business then penalize him for doing so. I also think they was kinda of jealous of 9ths success and stature. Cuz they was getting shows canceled if 9th wasn’t there. So they probably like “We doing all the work but your name bigger than ours.
Don’t forget when 9th helped revive BCC

IMO Buckshot best work outside Black Moon
Yeah like for real whatever happened to them
I have no idea

The problem is the language we are using.

Producer. That's a word. Good words mean certain things, not one of a few things that are unclear.

Calling a beat maker a producer might be the problem with how we see all this.

If Puff is a producer, then it's okay for 9th to not be a producer.

I don't respect Puff over Easy Mo Bee for the tracks Mo Bee made for Bad Boy.

When I found out Rakim made his own beats, I lost any respect for Eric B.

QTip and Scarface make beats. That's impressive to me. I don't give a fukc who the studio engineer was.

Who "produced" Illmatic as a whole? Who gives a shyt? He had the top beat makers on there.
Sequencing matters probably damn near the most

They were moving funny once they went on the first tour while 9th was in NY working with Jay. That's when they decided they were LB not 9th. I don't know how 9th was expected to honor the group he was unofficially kicked out of shortly after releasing their 1st album.

Breh this shyt feels so fukking weird. I'm not used to the Booth talking about artist I know (not necessarily personally) but know of. Now i PERSONALLY have never dealt with 9th outside of a dap or a what up head nod around Durham.

I was around when all this shyt went down below and did the beat for Steam (I WAS A BEATMAKER on this track not a producer LOL). Mind you this shyt is over 12 years old and everything is squashed but........

I remember this. Buddy from Winston Salem had an issue with 9th too. Can’t remember his name but he was nice. And what the hell happened to Thee Tom Hardy? He was nice too
