Great album easy one of the better solos buy the wu just so smooth the whole way through and the lyrics were on a different level
Did anyone listen to the words of the genius first before listening to liquid swords?

Words can't even describe the run that RZA was on at the time. Being able to not only produce dozens of beats but ensure each album was curated to sound a certain way. LS doesn't sound like CL, production wise. It's grittier where CL has more of a bounce to it (plus some blaxpoitation).

And then to advance all the sounds for Wu Forever...shyt is crazy.

The banks of G, all cream downs a bet
Money feed good, opposites off the set

It ain't hard to see, my seeds need God-degree
I got mouths to feed, unnecessary beef is more cows to breed -
4th Chamber

The plan was to expand, catch seven figures, release triggers
And live large and bigger than my nikka
Who promised his moms a mansion with mad room
She died and he still put a hundred grand in her tomb
Open wounds, he hid behind closed doors
And still organizes crime and drug wars - Gold

That picture GZA painted was just :mjcry:

There's no need for us to spray up the scene
I use less men, more powerful shyt for my team
Like my man Muhammad from Afghanistan
Grew up in Iran, the nikka runs a neighbourhood news-stand
A wild Middle Eastern, bomb specialist
Initiated, at eleven to be a terrorist
He set bombs in bottles of champagne
And when nikkaz popped the cork, nikkaz lost half they brains -
Killah Hills 10304

:wow::wow::wow:

Protect Ya Neck, my sword still remain imperial
Before I blast the mic, RZA scratch off the serial
- Shadowboxin'

He got swung on, his lungs was torn
A Kingpin just Castled with his Rook and lost a Pawn
- Gold

There's no need for us to spray up the scene
I use less men, more powerful shyt for my team
Like my man Muhammad from Afghanistan, grew up in Iran
The nikka runs a neighborhood newsstand
A wild Middle Eastern, bomb specialist
Initiated, at eleven to be a terrorist
He set bombs in bottles of champagne
So when nikkas popped the cork, nikkas lost half they brains
- Killah Hills 10304

GZA showcased elite lyricism on this album :wow::wow::wow:

I never liked that track, glad to see I’m not the only one. :myman: Still my GOAT Wu solo album. :wow:

That track is weak, breh. It's not the worst track in the world but it's an obvious step down from all the material before it.

I got into this discussion with a shytposter years ago and I'm sure that's why he stalks me to this day. Even RZA implied the song was whatever but GZA forced it on the album because Killah Priest was his artist.

I love liquid swords. It's my favorite wu solo album. However, as great as that album is, gza overall as an artist and especially lyricist before and after liquid swords is extremely underappreciated and undervalued. He doesn't get enough credit for his lyrics and music outside of liquid swords and 36 chambers. Folks will quote the same songs 36 chambers and liquid swords and ignore what he did on beneath the surface, protool, legend and etc. I'm not sure if people are aware that GZA hasn't put out a solo album in 10 years.
