Artistically my fav album tho i got a few over it based on impact.

Hard to beat those 13 songs tho. There isnt an album that beat wise and lyrically could match it.

Top 5:

Unexplained (its not swordsman.. vinyl calls it unexplained i think swordsman is the intro itself or the outro after uexplained)
Cold world
Investigative reports
Shadow boxin
Duel of the iron mic

I remember getting the CD, trying to figure out the tracklist, but being confused about "Unexplained" and "Hell's Wind Staff"

I guess "Hell’s Wind Staff / Killah Hills 10304" is one song, but to this day peeps can't agree on what "Unexplained" was

met GZA once a decade ago. He was chillin around Dundas Square before his set and he was super cool. I was a fan of Liquid then but I'm a way bigger fan now. In my top 5 albums ever and I've said this long before it was cool. I already see some posters taking my talking points on these albums and then pretending like they came up with it. :mjlol:

Soon you'll be repeating my point about how Liquid Swords is the perfect realization of the ideas/vibe 36 Chambers introduced. All that ninja/samurai shyt that they came with on 36 is perfected on Liquid.

First time I heard this I was just :merchant:

one of the craziest beats RZA ever did, and that's saying something

Yall remember this?

my favorite rendition because they looped that gorgeous intro beat four times instead of the two times that's on the album.

Now this is a show! Wish I was here:

not the best track on the album...shyt is dope tho but gets overlooked a lot

This has been my all-time favorite GZA song for more than a decade. That beat is fukking spectacular, even for RZA. On an album where every single song is incredible (except BIBLE, that song is weak and nowhere up to par), Swordsman is a highlight.
