Just jotting down some notes as i listen.....

-the evolution of the sound pioneered on 36 chambers, dark and atmospheric
-RZA at his creative peak? cacophony of sound, songs like "Gold" and "Cold World (sound very nujabes! "Somebody gotta die"), "4th Chambers" sounds like Prog Rock, mishmash of all these different elements, "Shadowboxin" is one of the smoothest RZA beats ever, as crisp and soulful as anything Premo, Just Blaze and Ye ever produced
-All the guest starts CRUSH it
-GZA is a minimalist rapper, sounds very reminiscent of MF Doom to me, and that fits the atmospheric sound, but in a good way...the lyrics are transparent peaks into his thoughts and narrative, the few times that a lack of style/swag work in favor for a rapper.
-I Gotcha Back is a very 36 Chambers-esque song, also sounds like something Mobb Deep wouldve made

This is all the shyt nunjabes, madlib, doom , dilla is all based on. Even premiers whole style shifted after the rza came out. Both commercial and ughh all comes directly from him.

I have the tape (Not the OG unfortunately lent that out and got the CD and figured I didn't need it like a fool) and the CD of this album, along with the MP3, one of my fave albums hands down, classic. This album just feels like winter time.... Best time to play it.

Ob4cl, forever and supreme are 6 mics undefinable albums. Theres maybe 10 albums like this period, wu got atleast 3 of 10 if not the other 2 albums. Other albums i put in that category are life after death and hell on earth. One of a kind albums copied to death. All of em.
