GZA has the ability to get your mind wandering with the way he delivers his rhymes on the album. The beats perfectly compliments the rhymes man. Funny thing is I still have the same cd I bought on the day it came out(I burned it to a flash drive for my car though) Here’s one of my favorite songs on the whole album

I love liquid swords. It's my favorite wu solo album. However, as great as that album is, gza overall as an artist and especially lyricist before and after liquid swords is extremely underappreciated and undervalued. He doesn't get enough credit for his lyrics and music outside of liquid swords and 36 chambers. Folks will quote the same songs 36 chambers and liquid swords and ignore what he did on beneath the surface, protool, legend and etc. I'm not sure if people are aware that GZA hasn't put out a solo album in 10 years.

That's because production is king in hip hop and always has been. The beat is the entry point to a song. If it's not dope, most aren't trying to hear what you have to say.
