IT DOESN'T AS A WHOLE. YOU CAN INDIVIDUALLY HARM WHITE PEOPLE WITH PREJUDICE. I COULD GO ON A KILLING SPREE TOMORROW AND ONLY KILL WHITE PEOPLE. THAT WOULD BE PREJUDICE. AND YOUR DUMB ASS WOULD BE AT THE WHITE PEOPLE'S FUNERAL ASKING THEIR FAMILIES "BUT DID THIS ACT HARM YOU, THOUGH?"
Interpersonal violence has nothing to do with systems of power and prejudice - but you're smart enough to know that.
Exactly. Im dominican and i can say yea there are racist dominicans. Not the whole country like this site swears but yea they out there. Same with every group on this earth, no one is exempt
The DR is known for its violence anti-Haitian prejudice, including state-sanctioned and individual Dominican violence toward Haitians. The Dominicans uphold this prejudice here in the United States and throughout as well.
You don't know what you're talking about.

Asians have their own countries and money. Million and billion dollar investments. They have their own businesses and industries where it's solely comprised of other asian people.

Latinos have power and numbers and politicians that cater to them. In just less than 80 years their median wealth and income has surpassed black americans. They also have their own countries and businesses and industries solely comprised of them.

Arabs have oil and billionaires in their ranks. They own billion dollar venture capitalist firms. They have power. They have businesses and industries that are comprised solely of them.

And as a black person you're an outsider in all 3 of these scenarios.

Tell me...what billion dollar industries do black people control and operate in America that employ people that look primarily like them? Blavk people control 1% of this nation's wealth...that's not power.

the majority of the businesses, companies, corporations, banks, and local governments in America are run by people that don't look like us.

Latinos, Asians, and Hispanics have politicians catering to them to get laws changed and tax cuts and other perks. We just get roads renamed to "black trans lives matter blvd".

Is that power to you?
:unimpressed:
Obama did more for the LGBT, Latinos, and other groups while we got scolded and told to do better....by the first black President....is that power?
:unimpressed:
The average white family's wealth is a little over $150,000. The average black family's wealth is less than $6,000. Is that power?
:unimpressed:
This. Upholding white supremacist notions of Black people when they immigrate certainly does allow for them to be "racist" in the systemic sense as well as the regular prejudicial sense.
he has his GED, he even mentioned it in an interview that it was easy.
this dude aint dumb dont be fooled, he had a profile in Atlanta before he started rapping
He's a moron - a GED is not an accomplishment.
Its crazy. nikkas changing dictionaries and 100s of years of understood usage just so they can say certain people can't be racist. Ok dumb ass nikkas yall got it

Black people will forever lose because of shyt like this. Some of us are so fukking ignorant with no care about how it affects us as a whole.
We’re the most disrespected group of people on this very planet, while also being the most accepting and friendliest people on this planet, and yet we have nikkas that will feed into silly ass surface level talking points.

“bLAck pEOPle cAN BE RaCISt ToO!”
Breh, shut the fukk up!

Our community has been devastated by outside influence, generations of Black people mistreated, taken advantage of, murdered in cold blood, brutalized, and mentally and emotionally tormented.
But a Black person called Connor a saltine crisp, how mean!:damn:
This.
I can picture the corniest of the corny black dudes on here with the same shtick. We cant be racist cause we have no power. Who is we? I know plenty of black people in postions of power to effect peoples money. As for ones i dont know personally, theres no black CEOs or hiring authorities that can't hire who they damn well please?
If you eliminated the entirety of prejudice from White people here in the US and left everything else exactly the same - the systemic elements of racism would still continue to create disparities in prison sentencing, health outcomes, access to loans and mortgages, jobs, life expectancy, and all other areas of life.

Being the CEO does not create a private bubble absolved in the outside world. And it sure as hell doesn't control anything on a systems level.
Can Black people make laws to discriminate against people based on race to limit their autonomy?

Can Black people freeze the funds of certain white power groups that are actually racist?

How many Black CEOs are there actually in America that can actively support Black people and hire solely black people?

Cause there are many white ceos that have lily white staffs all over the world.
This - but beyond CEOs.
I've still haven't seen anyone tell me what he said was wrong..just a bunch of crusty mouth nikkas chirpin :francis:
Racism includes the power that exists in systems along with an actual prejudice.
A Black nurse being mean to an old white patient because she's from Alabama is "prejudice" - a casual attitude as a White or Latinx nurse toward a Black woman in pain because you've been nudged into believing black people feel less pain is racism.

They certainly can be - and have proven so in their home countries as well as here in the United States.

The point is that the prejudiced opinions of Black people toward other minority groups does not create the systemic conditions of racism, it exists as prejudice.
Here's the simple and obvious point - do the prejudiced opinions of Black people here in the United States create any self-perpetuating systems of bias?
In housing? Education? Health? Geography? If not - then there is no "racism" in their prejudice.

The issue is that "using the word wrong" as a media figure pushes his half-concocted thoughts out into the world. And stupid youth listen to him.

Decades of Black scholars, activists, and general community members telling y'all there's more to racism than just "prejudice" but for some odd reason, y'all don't seem to think there isn't.

So they got Webster's changed nikka -

You know exactly where they've got it from - you understand that systemic racism differs from regular racial bias - why are you surprised?

You make some good points.

DR and Haiti have a long deep history with each other and both are POOR third world countries. Dominicans fought for their independence FROM haiti and then several decades later we had a racist dictator trujillo who was trying to change the country white, get down with hitler and the genocide of millions of haitians. His own generals murdered him and still to this day it leaves a poor taste in dominicans mouth when speaking of him.

Of course in present time there has been conflicts between individual dominicans and haitians(on the island) but its not based on the color of hatians. Theres dominicans as dark as haitians but theres major differences between the two 1)the language 2)the culture 3)their religion and then you add their deep history.

Here in the U.S? Thats str8 up bullshyt, for the most part dominicans and haitians usually dont even live in the same neighborhoods over here at least in nyc. Most haitians i know are from BK while most dominicans live in uptown manhattan and the bronx. But never have i heard of dominicans and haitians beefing here stateside. I have seen this though

And that nytimes article clearly states they ADDED systematic racism, they did not toss the rest of the definition to the side they just turned it into 3 parts

Lol ok bruh. nikkas keep adding and adding. fukk it, go ahead and cancel lil baby idgaf lol
No one said a word about "cancelling" but you. Looks like you're sad because people don't like your favorite rapper. Not a good look.
Lol nikkas in the thread calling him a c00n because he described the wrong form of discrimination lol shyt crazy
He's a c00n for other reasons as well.
If you're typing this, then you believe that minorities or "people that don't have power" can't be racist either.

I believe Mugabe did this though when he kicked them crackers out of Zimbabwe and took their farms.
Robert Mugabe had state power. He was the head of an entire nation-state and held a deep prejudice against the White people who invaded his native country, stole their land and resources, and exploited the native population.

Do you remember what the Western (White) nations did to Zimbabwe afterward? They crushed it economically. The US-led and the European nations followed - and they set sanctions from every single corner, sabotaged the finances of the nation (that were already in a mess because of Mugabe), broke down agriculture deals, and cut off aid to the exploited nation.

That's systemic racism - and global power wrapped into one.

Whether yall like it or not, lil baby represents the hood and a great number of the black population. He may not have the education or be able to articulate certain points with the clarity you wish but if he is speaking positive then he is moving in the right will.

His influence can lead to others being more positive in situations they might otherwise be negative in.

To call him a c00n and speak negatively about him in this context is just another crab in the barrel mentality to me. We shouldn’t be shunning off folks that are positive in this environment. We should be open to educating him so he can be an even more impactful voice of black youth.

Black people can be prejudiced and bigoted. You can read TLR and find posts and threads displaying bigoted and prejudiced views. I feel that's what he means.

Naw.

Prior to the 80s, many an entertainer where pro black and educated to a degree.

The music definitely defined an era.

Thats a conversation that would make a lot of posters pissed off. The music that conditioned people to be "real" hurts us in more ways th an we give credit to.

at the end of the day...you cant get mad at Lil Baby...they still young and they havent done the knowledge or taken the time to do the knowledge to unlearn their ignorance.

:manny:

I mean as a Black person in America eventually you're going to deal with racism in one way or another. Whether its being racially profiled in a business or getting pulled over for being black in the wrong side of town....it is what it is.

I just don't understand this mentality where black people could ever be as bad with racism as white people.

Black people are too nice at times too accepting.
Black people stay standing up for folk that disrespect us.

We could of never made white people slaves.

And we was too loving to throw jews in the oven.

:wow:

right,,,,,,,,

if most or majority of black was was racist as other cultures and races, Asians, arabs etc wouldn't be rich off our dollar.............................. and the few black people that are racist is inconsequential in number wise :skip:
