Use one finger to barre the strings instead of using your first and second fingers
Your 3rd finger will be on the b string so it won't matter.

I figured out to do the A chord consistently with all three fingers. Taking a break and coming back to the guitar cements the position for me.
It's nice to have options, I assume there would be points where barre is preferred over the three finger method.
