Breh...I bought Rocksmith with the Tone Cable to go with my Iommi Sg and I was happy to all shyt but it's like everything REFUSES to work with me in order for me to enjoy it.

First off, my Guitar needs tuning like EVERY minute and that's not just me being ignorant to the fact that songs come in many different tunings. I chalk that up to the fact that not only do I have a Gibson Sg and Gibson guitars are notorious for going out of tune quickly because of the Headstock design along with the nut, I've also got some pretty heavy strings (The Big E String is .60) which also affects intonation and all that. So that's on me, but the main issue is the lag!

Do you get lag when you play? I thought I would have been Gucci by plugging in my headset into the controller, but from what I remember (Put it down in May and haven't looked back yet) there was a split second lag that made all the difference when trying to play notes...it throws you off enough to frustrate you. How do you combat this?

I've got a Fender Jazzmaster on the way that isn't going to be using heavy strings like by Iommi Sg which I'm using strictly for the heavy Detuned stuff, but the lag really disheartened me and made me put it down and never pick it up back up, it was so depressing.
You playing on pc or game console?

Game console you need another audio output because with hdmi it will lag.

Most use a headset or audio optical cable

You could try the string butler
it seems to have a lot of positive reviews, tho I have not tried it. Have you had the nut set up for your string gauge? .060 is probably oversized for a factory cut nut. Try putting some powdered graphite mixed with vaseline in the slots for starters.

Console. Xbox one, so the HDMI is providing that split second lag.

I read up on that shyt and need to do the science a bit more since someone recommended it and I chucked it in my cart all those months ago but never pulled the trigger. I guess I'll have to run THAT from the console to a set of speakers. Heck, I might try it with my Boss Katana practice amp, but I'm still disheartened by the whole thing and at times that keeps me away from shyt.

You run on PC and don't have those problems, I assume?

My Guitar was setup by the folks at Sweetwater.com since I bought the guitar from there since they have a wide(er) selection than most when it comes to lefty guitars than anyplace I'd find online or off. They changed the nut to a TUSQ and did all the necessary filing/lubing so that it would fit.

I had to fiddle with the bridge to raise/lower the action since I got super pedantic one evening while playing around and noticed some string buzz on the thicker strings. Plus I'm being overly meticulous in keeping it from getting scratched/smushed which has me treating it like a damned new born since I paid quite a bit to get it set up and shipped.

I've got a banger guitar (Generic lefty from a company called Sawtooth) that I'm using and plan on ordering a Squire Jazzmaster that I'd have no problem seeing the wear and tear on compared to my ebony beauty that I play, polish and recase constantly, but with strings no thicker than .56

I'll keep that in mind if I start noticing those problems since I generally like heavier strings and play more percussively, akin to dikk Dale and Matt Pike (Sleep/High on Fire). Thanks!
