Had to post this article:

http://hiphopwired.com/2012/03/09/the-notorious-b-i-g-from-unsigned-hype-to-king-of-ny/#

Some highlights:

"BIG was just immensely talented. So much so that he was undeniable from the first listen. In the next five years he would have the most dominant run of any MC in Hip-Hop history."

"When we lost Biggie in March 1997, he was about to take the world over. His album Life After Death was about to drop. Puff Daddy & The Family's Hell Up In Harlem album (eventually re-titled to No Way Out) was waiting in the wings. He was the central figure in the Bad Boy empire and he had laid out a plan to bring forth The Commission featuring himself, Jay-Z and Charli Baltimore. He was the greatest and the sky was the limit."

Imagine

Biggie feat DMX
Biggie feat 50 Cent
Biggie feat Big Pun

We were robbed folks.

Not to mention,

Biggie feat: Beanie Sigel
Biggie feat: Eminem

:banderas:

Imagine if Biggie heard Nas' Ether "Is he Dame Diddy, Dame Daddy or Dame Dummy?Oh, I get it, you Biggie and he's Puffy", I know Biggie would be :ooh: and :banderas: and :lolbron: while Jay-Z would be :sadcam: and :damn: "Why Nas had to say it in the front of Biggie"....I know that
that shyt that would make his more soul burn slow.

I remember I heard about him plan to drop with Triple LP and I do believe he can pull it off......I think him and Pac only can do it with Triple LP.

Biggie wouldn't have fallen off at all, he would have ruled, and been in the Jay Z position pretty much.

Yes, I believe if Pac and Biggie hadn't died, they would be still top on of the world and it would be still about Pac and Biggie.

You know what weird to me is that. Pac dropped double cd with All Eyez On Me and Biggie dropped double cd with Life After Death and both of them died with these albums. It had me wondering what made these nikkas want to drop the double cd?...it's like competitive thing to them, like Pac would call Biggie, "Watch me, I would drop a double album and it's going be classic" and Biggie be, "N!gga, I can do it too and it's going be classic too so you don't think I can do it?,"..

When Nas and Jay-Z dropped the double cd and I was like totally disappointed and was like damn these n!ggas couldn't do what Pac and Biggie did with the double cd and made me realize how special and unique Pac and Bigge were.

Yeah, I agree, they were THAT good. Mainstream wise at the time they were out they really were the best. They were great ARTISTS, longevity wouldn't have been a problem for them, Pac proved that, I feel the same about Big to cause of the creativity he showed. But Pac had content for decades. I think it was possibly cause Suge said something about double albums why Big and Puff did it lol. I agree, compared to Pac and Big's their double albums were not on the same level, it shows what great and CONSISTANT artists they were. I never heard a Big verse or song I didn't like. And like 99 percent of Pac's and his body of work is HUGE.

After All Eyez On Me dropped then you have Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory was like damn Pac still got it and I bet that album wasn't finish because of Pac's death but it's still a f*cking classic....What if that album is way more better if he was alive bet that album probably be different or have more tracks, etc.

Mind you, he has a video for Toss It Up video before he died....that album probably would be different or what if Toss It Up was supposed to be on All Eyez On Me, etc....WE DON"T KNOW!.

@Rapmastermind Lost wasn't a true triple cd tho, it was a double with a sampler cd thrown on the end

Your 100% right @DaveyDave but it was 3 albums worth of material so I have to give 8 Ball credit for doing that 1st even though Biggie planned it 1st. Actually 8 Ball's model might of ended up how "Born Again" would of been. Another Double LP with a 3rd Bonus disc.

Biggie and Pun collab was gonna happen too, Big was aware of Pun and thought he was dope.

Biggie was very aware of Pun and Fat Joe already said that "Twinz" was suppose to be Biggie and Pun but he wasn't able to record the song cause of his accident and he was busy working on "Life After Death". Ironically Biggie only did 2 features outside of his Bad Boy family during the "LAD" recording. 1 was with Shaq with "Can't Stop The Reign" and the other was with Tracy Lee with "Keep Your Hands High".

I give Ball the credit too but I think the first proper triple disc is from MF GRIMM. It's a dope album but if you don't like his style it would prob wear thin quickly

I'm a aware of MF GRIMM but honestly not to many songs pulled me in. But damn his Triple album had 60 songs, lol. I don't think "Born Again" would be that long, I'm thinking about 40-45 songs tops. Again trying to keep listeners for a Double LP is hard, I can't even imagine a Triple. I think Biggie had the talent and the diversity to pull it off. What separates LAD from other double LP's (Outside of Pac's which was good too) is Biggie tried to appease every rap fan but he succeeded. I think for a Triple album to work you have to have a huge variety and styles of songs and I think Big could of done it. Both NaS and Jay Doubles were lackluster, it's not that hey didn't follow the LAD and AEOM Blueprint cause they both did there just wasn't enough EPIC songs on their doubles like Big and Pac. So Yea if not Biggie, I think Pac could of pulled off a Triple Disc.
