Theres only one other guy in my bracket. So, we have a best of 3 thing going on. I found the gym he attends so, I think I know how he looks. Pretty big guy, but he doesnt move that well. I'm 2 years older, but I'm much quicker, but he looks to have about 30 pounds on me.


I wasnt going to so absolutes, but I might now.

I'll let u guys know how it goes.

Scouting report was wrong af! It was not the same guy I saw on their social media pages. This mfer was built like chew jitsu if ur familiar with his channel.


My professor had some pull and he was able to get our match moved up. The good part the waiting game over. The bad part, I went into the match cold af. No warm up at all. When I was called up to the mat my gi top wasnt even on yet...


I get up there the fights starts. We lock up, I slide a hip into him and get an outside leg trip about 5 seconds into the match. Long story short. I stayed with top pressure. Wrapped his legs up like khabib does. I did a few nice movements to stay on top. Almost went for an armbar, but I waited. Got the rnc in, but he tucked his chin pretty good. Had mount, he turned, I moved and now I was on his back. Got him flat, got under the chin, rolled him over, got my hooks in deep, pulled him in both directions and got the tap.

2nd match he did a great job of not letting over hips get close. I did drop down for a single, but he defended well. And that single turned into a double and he defended better.

I picked him up at one point, but he did a good job of dropping his weight b4 I could get the takedown. I slid my hip in again tried the trip,but he countered and took me down.


I rolled him and almost landed on top, but he had enuff momentum to stop it. I moved into mount. But he wssnt that heavy, so I knew I could get my arm in and reversed him. It worked n I was in his half gaurd. I played for side control, but he was good.


I finally got side control. Went for an armbar, but fukked it up and he set up. Now hes in my guard. I trapped an arm and threw my legs up for the triangle. I adjusted my legs, then started pull down on his neck. Legs were tight af and felt them starting to give out. Went to adjust again and the timer went off.

Won on points for the gold.

1st comp was nice. Nerves were good. I was getting sleepy as the day went on. Went to my car and rested for about 30 mins b4 my Professor showed up. Prolly fell asleep for 5 mins, or so.

I thought everyone had 2 show up to weigh in at 8am. I'm glad I woke at 3 that morning and went over the website again. Found out that you have to weigh in like an hr b4 ur match is scheduled.


Ended up getting there at about 1045. I'll prolly never get there that early again unless I'm well rested.


It was cool watching the little girls go especially vs the boys. They were way more aggressive and won 3 of the 4 matches vs boys that I seen.


My 1st match was super easy. I was like damn....this is nothing compared to open mat, where I'd try to go back to back to back, etc...


But I was super dominate in that fight and had ole boy defending and carrying my weight the entire match b4 getting the RNC choke in.


The 2nd match was hard. Hard af. The 1st 3 mins we were trying for takedowns. He finally got one, but I quickly got into a better position. I think my prof. Yelled at me that there were 30 more seconds left at one point. Being tired af and thinking I was down on points I had conceded that match.

And he was going for a shoulder lock at this point.

But when that time passed, I was oh shyt theres time. I ended up getting mount and went for an armbar and had a triangle in when the time expired.

Ended up winning on points.


But mannnnn, I couldn't fukking breathe after that match. Such a contrast from the 1st one.

Body was sore everywhere. Feeling better now.

Got a comp. Picked out toward the end of Jan and one picked out in Feb.

Well see how it goes.

When I was going 2-3 days a week b4 hurting my hand the scale had only moved about 5-7 pounds. But the difference those few pounds made were crazy. The definition in my arms and shoulders was looking good.

Havent lost 2 much since getting back into it.

Just jumped on the scale at 231. Wanna get down to 224 for the comp. In Jan.
