Grapevine is like flattening someone out but on top

With your size I promise you it will break peoples wills if you can use it right

If ur conditioning isn't good u can get ended from grapevine. My coach isn't as big as u and it's brutal when he does it. Hard to start escaping if you can't engage your knees and hips

It's good when to use against squirrly cats that like to do all that acrobatic shyt. Like sit, daaaaown with alll that. Just park them in ace while you look for Ezekiels and or secure and arm

Don't sleep

Ahhh, gotcha. Bro, I cant remember what my boy, or my professor calls that move. But its another one of those things I have to get used to doing. Ive only done it a few times, and I have had it done to me a few times as well. Def got more work to do.

Towards the end of a class a few weeks ago. I was getting ready to roll with the director of the after school/day care program. She sees me almost every class, just destroying the lower belts. So, B4 me n her roll, she says aiight nah Will...Im an old lady, so take it easy on me...

I go to my back to get some work from there and she mounts me. We play a lil bit, then she put her hooks in and flattens me out. Im just chillin, letting her do some work. Then Im like, hold up...This not right....Ohhh shyttt......This kind of hurts......Aiight, let me get out of this.......Then it was so much pressure I was scared to try to explode out cuz I thought I might injure myself.....I held off for a few seconds later and it felt like my hips were about to be ripped outta the socket and I tapped. I think she thinks I was tapping just to tap, but that was by far the most pain Ive been in while rolling.

It was soooo painful. And I had been in that position b4 w/o it really bothering me much. Im guessing her shorter legs put more pressure on my hips than everyone else.

Yea u get wrist on a turtle and pull people back to take an underhook, then flatten um out. I want cats completely immobilized. U using knee on belly would be Brutal B. Alot of bigger guys like that game. Knee on belly is another life drainer. U can legit press the life out of someone with one of those.

My coach does a knee on belly and then pulls up on the collar and knee or hip fabric

There's a few guys that come to the sambo class
I hit one with a bow tie choke
I notice alot of bjj guys leave space on their mounts so it's easier to counter or sprawl out because of my size

@TheDarceKnight

brother. what is your go-to finesse method for submitting the turtle and or controlling the turtle to set them up for the sub.

I don't like these arm fishing rollers and now we have big dudes turtling up and the base is crazy.

Y'all don't use Knuckle rubs to the ribs?
Plus when they turtle I put my weight on the neck/ head area attack one side and depending on how tough they wanna be, I'm going for the calf slicer

depends. in this case it's a turtle big man with muscles so if he gets an arm he's going to make attacking a pain. sweeping the bottom half takes away all that. I don't need to engage his arms to deal with him.

if I'm in closed guard I'm pushing arms back for kimuras and if they defend I come up for hip bump and if they stuff I grab the back of the collar dive under the leg for the hook and hittum with that beautiful sweep.

and I think if I gettum to post on that arm off the hip bump I may start going for triangles I just gotta do it.

if they stuff all that.

wrist locks in closed guard. a full 2 rotation lapel wrap about the wrist on my right, pass to left hand, bring right hand under opponents wrapped wrist and adjust grip to a palm up hammer fist and secure the entire hand by bringing elbow down and pulling down with the hand. Then begin a slow rotation to bring your elbow upward while alligator rolling your body. they should tap before u get your stomach. works on black belts
:banderas:
if u miss the wrist and get the forearm. turn them over for the omoplata or attack/sweep of your choice

get your flowcharts now brothers. if you want to get better you have to be strict about your patterns and your game. I do closed guard on Monday, open guard on Tuesday and play aggressive on Wednesday. It's really helped me glue everything together when I'm in those o so tough situations. once u can confidently defend the attacks just fall out of the sky.

always look at your hand when you hip bump sweep and it's best used on ops with upright static heavy posture. if you look at your hand, even on the way down on a failed bump u can still get the sweep if you have the elbow

and don't bother with hip bumps on broken postured ops. attack dem
