Not too surprising considering that the alt-right started 5+ years ago and every passing year they become more extreme. It's somewhat interesting to see those fell into the pipeline mostly do to depression and they prey on those kind and indoctrinate them to the movement.

It's no different than any other extreme ideology. Find the weak , poor or those looking for guidance. Offer them friendship, cultivate trust, show them how X has ruined them and how you can help regain their power then slowly brainwash them to believe what you want.
