He's a right winger.

FBI deputy director Paul Abbate spoke in a hearing Tuesday with Secret Service acting director Ronald Rowe on the assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump.

Watch Abbate’s remarks in the player above.

Abbate said the FBI has discovered over 700 social media comments they believe were made by the shooter around 2019 and 2020 that he described as antisemitic and anti-immigrant.

“Some of these comments, if ultimately attributable to the shooter, appear to reflect antisemitic and anti-immigration themes to espouse political violence and are described as extreme in nature,” Abbate said. “While the investigative team is still working to verify this account to determine if it did in fact belong to the shooter, we believe it important to share it today.”

The Alt-Right Playbook: How to Radicalize a Normie

Here’s How to Radicalize a Normie, a video essay on how the Alt-Right and their fellow travelers recruit. Clocking in at 41 minutes, 6756 words, 633 individual drawings, and 27 sources (including three full books), it is by far the longest and most heavily-researched video in The Alt-Right Playbook. I am very tired.

Good piece. I don't think this will be fixed any time soon. I think the idea of community is a striking point and that a lot of young men may not see themselves in left leaning communities or people with their same experiences. I'm not sure what can be done but I guess we'll see.

│ When I was in my 20s I got sucked into Libertarian bullshyt and even back then there was a bunch of weird anti-feminist shyt that never seemed to fit in with the rest of it. In combination with the anti-feminist stuff I got disillusioned with the whole thing when that movement got behind Trump in 2016 whom I realized was nakedly authoritarian, which was supposed to be antithesis of what the movement supposedly stood for. Unfortunately a lot of dudes never snapped out of it. That pipeline is real and we’ve gotta do something about it.

│ │ Bro same! I got sucked into the Libertarian pipeline, then saw all the anti-feminism stuff and was like "I don't agree with that but government definitely bad," then saw them backing Trump and finally put two and two together that the smallest possible government is a dictatorship.

│ │ │ I went down the rabbit hole in my 20s, but that was long before Trump. I don't recall it being much beyond an obsession with Austrian economics. The 2008 banking crisis woke me up real quick, and almost all the people I knew who were libertarians back then are now solidly left-leaning.

│ │ │ │ Same here. I’m embarrassed about ever thinking that philosophy had any real world merit.

│ │ │ │ │ For libertarianism to work, people would have to collectively not be selfish. When I was sold libertarianism, I was told that people could do good and be good without the government involvement.
│ │ │ │ │
│ │ │ │ │ That would be a good philosophy IF libertarians acted charitable at all. I naively thought the pandemic would be a time when libertarians could show the world what individuals can do.
│ │ │ │ │
│ │ │ │ │ Funny enough, I was more libertarian than the libertarians I argued with. I got my Covid shot because I knew that even if it didn’t 100% prevent me from getting Covid, if I got it, my symptoms would be milder so I would not need to go to the hospital and take up space. I wore masks when my area had high spread because I realized I could have been a carrier and not know it.
│ │ │ │ │
│ │ │ │ │ But nah all libertarians did were whine and cry about masks and the Covid shot. Even though mask mandates were eventually lifted and Covid shot government requirements were shot down by the court.

I actually think one of the things that will sour them on him is it becoming more obvious he's a loser. The whole strongman alpha male nonsense falls apart when the guy is clearly a senile weak moron

│ Did you see Trump's interview with Terry Moran of ABC? I didn't but I just watched Tim Miller talking about it on The Bulwark's channel and OH MY fukkING GOD the dementia is just a fire hose at this point. He can't tell something was glaringly photoshopped. The interviewer was even trying to steer him away from it but Trump just kept wanting to waive around this P.O.S. "photo" of tattoed knuckles....

│ Anyone under the age of 30 automatically knows that doctored photo is complete bullshyt. Hell, my dad is 80 and HE knows it's bullshyt. You would be outing yourself as a complete moron if you didn't distance yourself from Trump and his doubling down on his claims using that as "evidence".

│ I hope Canada invades us, at this point, because we are too vulnerable to the goddamned weak and stupid to survive.

│ │ I'd even say anyone with a brain under the age of 55 or 60 can tell is was a shytty photoshop.

│ │ │ It wasn't even meant to BE a "Photoshop." The letters and numbers were there as a "translation" of what the symbols on his knuckles "really meant." They were labels.
│ │ │
│ │ │ Donnie is the ONLY one who thought the letters and numbers were tattooed onto the actual fingers.
