Who knows how many people are playin COD across all platforms but since its in damn near every household you can bet there are more than 300k playin at any given time (and given millions of people on the planet have consoles there were definitely more than 300k playin consoles today combined there were more than that playin in the US today), hell those 300k are practically all the hardcore PC gamers out there while the latest consoles have sold millions.

You don't realize you actually sellin your favorite game short by talkin bout 300k cause it sold 20 mil yet only a tiny fraction of those people are playin online/in tournaments, your problem is you keep tryna hang onto tournaments and the number of people playin online at a certain time cause thats all you have but people play COD offline as well and wit it bein on multiple platforms from multiple generations you can't keep track of how many are playin at once (I'm sure some fanboy could and does but I ain't got them numbers).

Call Of Duty makes money all over the place they don't need huge tournaments as promotion the way your precious franchise does, most people don't even care about tournaments and since Call Of Duty has a large casual gamer followin they ain't checkin for tournaments they just wanna play wit their friends (cause unlike losers like you they have real friends), and they have big sponsors like the A list celebrities in their commercials and everyone from the NFL to tv shows/movies mentionin their games the latter without even bein paid for it.
