season 5 was with all of the time travel. It was actually one of the best seasons because things started coming full circle. Then they went in a complete opposite in season 6.

season 5 was my favorite season

wait has anyone ever watch Babylon 5 Creator and showrunner J. Michael Straczynski wrote 92 of the 110 episodes of Babylon 5, including all 44 episodes in the third and fourth seasons;according to Straczynski, a feat never before accomplished in American television.

writers was informed of the overarching storyline, enabling the show to be produced consistently under-budget. The rules of production were strict; scripts were written six episodes in advance, and changes could not be made once production had started.

Though conceived as a whole, it was necessary to adjust the plotline to accommodate external influences. Each of the characters in the series was written with a "trap door" into their background so that, in the event of an actor's unexpected departure from the series, the character could be written out with minimal impact on the storyline.

In the words of Straczynski, "As a writer, doing a long-term story, it'd be dangerous and short-sighted for me to construct the story without trap doors for every single character. ... That was one of the big risks going into a long-term storyline which I considered long in advance

Straczynski writing is so underrated.

They really dropped the ball on season 6.

They had
1)flash-sideways,
2)Jacob,
3)MIB,
4)The Island's back story.

Still a top 5 show, fumbled the ball on Jacob & the final showdown, everything else was good. Season 6 plot points alone earns it at least a B-, though.

I have a theory with Lost that if you watched it on DVD/Blu-ray or streamed it on Netflix after the series ended (like I did), you don't have as big a problem with the show as the people who watched it while it was on.

I just recently watched Lost for the 1st time ever this past April-June. It's now 1 of my favorite TV shows EVER! I initially only planned to stream the show, but by season 3 I realized I gotta own the complete series Blu-ray set.

The series finale made me cry

Maybe I'm just sensitive tho

:manny:
I watched it live and I liked the ending. They wrote themselves into a corner though by saying the show had real answers and made it seem like it it would be scientific I was like ehh cause if the smoke mobster Wasnt nanoswarm I knew they didn't have a answer . But despite that the characters are what I was interested in sayid, jack, sawyer , Desmond , Charlie , Ben locke Hurley , Walt and mike, the kims , penny, Juliet etc ( not Kate though she turned annoying quick )

Don't want to regurgitate the pretty impressive stuff written already but we really gon' have nine pages and not mention the gawd Mr. Eko?

Dude became one of the gulliest characters in such a short amount of time. That episode where he realised it was his brother in the plane with the H in those Virgin Mary statues. :wow:

Now the guys from Lost write for Once Upon a Time, and there seems to be a better balance there. The actually answered most of the questions by the end of season 1.

It still uses flash backs, flash forwards, side flashes, apollo bars, and the traditional music cues from lost.

Desmond's story was by far the saddest, when his girls dad sat him down with the glass and said this glass is worth more than you'll make in a year, and you wana marry my daughter? :sadcam:
