Or could it be that stats don't tell you everything when it comes to basketball? Once again respond directly to my original post rather than deflecting or changing the subject.

Is Kevin Love (before LeBron) a better basketball player than Pau Gasol (before Kobe)? And if so, then why hasn't LeBron (a) been able to get more out of him in Cleveland; and (b) been able to win more with a guy better than Pau Gasol as his 3rd option?
You shat on nikkas who use stats to say Bron is better than Kobe and then used stats to say Love was better than Pau :dead::dead::dead:

I don't know why people keep including him. He barely played from 09-10. And he was injured all of 2008 when they made it to the finals. Also when he did play, he only average 7ppg and 5rpg. Hardly the numbers of an impact player.

The Lakers won primarily because Kobe was the GOAT. Plain and simple.
Dis nikka is a full-blown troll :dead:

So all this time you've been calling Love a meaningless stat padder only to use his stats to show whether he's better than Gasol?

:childplease:

I guess you've never seen the argument style where you use someone's own arguments against them. I don't think Kevin Love is better than Gasol. Just as I don't think LeBron is better than Kobe regardless of what the numbers say.

I'm only using the numbers in this case to expose the Bron stans for the hypocrites that they are. They love to use stats when it benefits them but then will ignore or refute them when they don't. This being one of those examples.

I've always been an eye test type of guy and will always be that. But when I find stats that expose the hypocrisy of others, you best believe I'll use them.

Beating the 73 win GSW is a bigger accomplishment than beating the 50 win Celtics team :yeshrug:

I guess this type of reasoning is beyond your simple mind.

If the stats say Love is better than Gasol. And the stats say LeBron is better than Kobe. Then shouldn't a team with Love and LeBron be much better than a team with Kobe and Gasol?

Read the title of this thread again. The argument being made is that Kevin Love (alone) should be enough for LeBron to win multiple championships. Instead he had Kyrie on his team the last 3 years as well and only won 1 championship and right now is in danger of losing in the 1st round to the Pacers.

I've never used stats to say LeBron was better than Kobe, just watchin dem two nikkas play tells me LeBron is better.

Sidenote: Let's not forget Joey Crawford and SVG contributions to those 2 championships.

Furthermore you shat on nikkas who use stats to say Bron is better than Kobe and then used stats to say Love was better than Pau................... :dead::dead::dead:

Is it this hard to understand the point of this thread? I'm using Bron stans own arguments against them. This would be like you creating a thread filled with quotes from 50 well-known NBA players saying LeBron is better than Kobe. You would be using my own argument against me.

I never said I believed Kevin Love was better than Pau. I'm only using Bron stans own argument against them. They're the ones that love stats. Well in this case, the stats say Kobe took a player worse than Kevin Love as his 2nd option and won 2 rings. If Kobe could do that with Gasol. Then LeBron should be able to do the same with a superior player (if stats are to be believed as an accurate measure of a player's talent level).

That was with Kyrie. Another all-star better than anyone Kobe played with after Shaq. And don't forget it was Kyrie who hit the big shot that won that series.

And that 50 win Celtics team beat a 60+ win Cavs team led by LeBron on their way to that NBA Finals. They were clearly resting that season given their guys age and only showed up for the playoffs.

If he made his players so much better he wouldn’t have gotten waxed by the Phoenix Suns.

:coffee:

Stop deflecting and changing the subject. We are talking about Kobe with Gasol and LeBron with Love. Kobe took a player statistically worse than Kevin Love, made him into a better player, and won back to back rings with him as the 2nd option.

LeBron on the other hand is 1-1 in NBA Finals with Kevin Love as his 3rd option. He's also made Kevin Love into a worse player statistically since he joined the Cavs. And right now is in danger of losing in the 1st round with Love as the 2nd option.

Kobe makes players better LeBron makes them worse. The numbers are CLEAR.

Your deflection methods are even more pathetic than the rest of these Bron stans. At least they try to be slick by changing the argument to what Kobe did against the Phoenix Suns in 2006 and 2007. You over here linking totally irrelevant threads.

Thank you for admitting defeat. And proving to me that I've conclusively exposed you Bron stans as hypocrites.
