fukk Pau.

We lost because of him in 2008.

2010 he showed up for like 2-3 games out of 7. On the road he played like a bytch

2011 he was the SOLE REASON why we got swept in Dallas. Dirk sonned him.

He only got worse after that

Kobe lost with Gasol as his team you dumbass:gucci:

Losing to the Celtics and Mavs is ok but a team with 4 guys on the all NBA team is inexcusable?

Kobe won 2 championships with just Gasol you dumbass. LeBron hasn't even proven he can make it out of the 1st round in the pathetic Eastern Conference with just Kevin Love.

Last 3 years he's had Kyrie Irving (a star player Kobe never had by his side) along with Kevin Love helping him get to the Finals. Now there's no Kyrie Irving to save his butt. Its just LeBron and Love. Similar to what Kobe did from 2008-2011 when it was just him and Gasol.

Pau Gasol in the first full 3 years with LA:

.600 TS
39.6 Win Shares
15.4 Value Over Replacement

Kevin Love in his first 3 years with Cleveland:

.562 TS
23.6 Win Shares
6.5 Value Over Replacement

Gasol also beats Love in WS/48 (.225 to .165 for Love in case you wanted to bytch about games Love missed)

Fakkit.

More deflections. Why don't you Bron stans actually argue against the content of my posts rather than trying to change the subject?

Maybe its because you know there is nothing to argue. That this thread exposes the contradictions in your arguments. On the one hand, ya'll wanna use stats and numbers to say LeBron is better than Kobe. But on the other hand, you'll ignore the fact that the stats and numbers say that LeBron has had better teammates than Kobe before they joined his team. And its LeBron that has led to a decline in their games because his style of play is about him getting his numbers to the detriment of his co-stars.

You can't have it both ways. You can't use stats to say LeBron is better than Kobe then turnaround and ignore the fact that the same numbers say LeBron's 3rd option since 2015 was a better player statistically than the 2nd option Kobe took to 3 straight finals and won back to back rings with.
I've never used stats to say LeBron was better than Kobe, just watchin dem two nikkas play tells me LeBron is better.

Sidenote: Let's not forget Joey Crawford and SVG contributions to those 2 championships.

Furthermore you shat on nikkas who use stats to say Bron is better than Kobe and then used stats to say Love was better than Pau................... :dead::dead::dead:

Can’t refute the numbers so they attack the person.

And you misunderstood the context of them to boot.
As usual.

Sure, playing with Kobe Bryant instead of Mike Miller helps Gasol.
But playing for Phil Jackson instead of Marc Iavaroni also helps Gasol.

Dumb ass.

Who did Kevin Love play with in Minnesota? Ricky Rubio?

Stop trying to deflect and twist things. The stats are CLEAR. Before joining LeBron, Kevin Love was superior to Pau Gasol. Both in terms of stats and awards. There was a time in 2014 when people were arguing that Kevin Love was a top 5 player in the NBA. Nobody ever said that about Pau Gasol before he joined Kobe.

And yet after he joined Kobe, Pau became a better player and was the 2nd option a team that won back to back championships. While LeBron is right now in danger of losing in the 1st round to the Pacers with just Kevin Love by his side. A guy who is now a shell of what he was at Minnesota. And only LeBron is to blame for that. LeBron has turned Kevin Love into a worse basketball player (as the analytics you posted show). While Kobe turned Pau Gasol into a better basketball player (as the stats you posted also show).

Kobe makes players around him better. LeBron makes them worse. PERIOD.

If he made his players so much better he wouldn’t have gotten waxed by the Phoenix Suns.

why tf would you compare stats between kevin love and pau gasol to see if KOBE OR LEBRON is better ??? when you can just compare every single stat between Kobe and Lebron directly :russ:

I guess this type of reasoning is beyond your simple mind.

If the stats say Love is better than Gasol. And the stats say LeBron is better than Kobe. Then shouldn't a team with Love and LeBron be much better than a team with Kobe and Gasol?

Read the title of this thread again. The argument being made is that Kevin Love (alone) should be enough for LeBron to win multiple championships. Instead he had Kyrie on his team the last 3 years as well and only won 1 championship and right now is in danger of losing in the 1st round to the Pacers.

Or could it be that stats don't tell you everything when it comes to basketball? Once again respond directly to my original post rather than deflecting or changing the subject.

Is Kevin Love (before LeBron) a better basketball player than Pau Gasol (before Kobe)? And if so, then why hasn't LeBron (a) been able to get more out of him in Cleveland; and (b) been able to win more with a guy better than Pau Gasol as his 3rd option?

As bad as Gasol was at times, you gotta think he was a much, much better defender than Love.

That plus the fact that 08-10 Odom, and Bynum for that matter is way, way better than anyone else on the Cavs roster outside of Love.

I don't know why people keep including him. He barely played from 09-10. And he was injured all of 2008 when they made it to the finals. Also when he did play, he only average 7ppg and 5rpg. Hardly the numbers of an impact player.

The Lakers won primarily because Kobe was the GOAT. Plain and simple.
